🌟 Meet Allissa! 🌟 She’s one of our newest Occupational Therapists at our Papillion clinic, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on the team! 💛✨ Read below to get to know Allissa a little better—you won’t want to miss it!

Why were you interested in becoming an OT?
✈️ I became interested in OT once I realized the impact our profession has on people and the quality of their lives. The versatility and meaningfulness within our interventions, planning, and problem-solving appealed to me.

Which OT program did you attend and when did you graduate?
✈️ I attended Creighton University and graduated in May of 2024!

What motivated you to work with lymphedema?
✈️ It was an interest I developed during my graduate program. Seeing patients progress and being able to offer options for management motivated me to work within this specialty.

Tell me something interesting about yourself that not a lot of people know.
✈️ I enjoy reading and hope to have my own personal library one day!

What is your favorite part about your job?
✈️ Getting to know the patients and working with an exceptional team at the clinic!

If you could visit anywhere in the world in any season, where would it be and which season?
✈️ I would love to take a trip to Europe in the fall to see the Black Forest in Germany! Other places would be Hallstatt, Austria, and Transylvania, Romania, among others!

What are your top 2-3 progressional goals or CEUs you want to complete in the next five years?
✈️ I would like to be CLT certified and I would also like to take a student(s) within the next 5 years!

Throwback Thursday to the last bit of Halloween fun! 🎃 We wrapped up our final Trunk or Treat in Lincoln, and Papillion had trick-or-treaters visit the clinic—plus a “lion” stopped by for treatment… okay, it was a person in a costume! 😄🧡

The tedious things we do at the clinic… like cutting foam sheets into rolls! ✂️😄

Turning one giant sheet of foam into multiple rolls is oddly satisfying—snip, slice, roll, repeat! There’s something strangely fun about seeing a huge sheet transform right before your eyes. Who knew foam could be so rewarding? 😎✨

The festive vibes were in full swing as pumpkins came to life with fun, creativity, and a little friendly competition. It was a perfect way to kick off the Halloween season! 😄✨
