Thank you to all the staff members and physicians who donated!

For 15 years, Eye Surgical Associates, Sutton Linder & Sutton, Lincoln Surgical Hospital and Nebraska Surgery Center have supported Lincoln families during the holidays. ❤️ Staff donations are matched by physicians to double the impact.

The Nebraska Foundation for Children's Vision was one of three local organizations they chose to support this year. Today, Joanna Fenicle, RN, and Deanna Bohl delivered their donation to NFCV. Thank you to their generous staff and physicians for making this possible!

Vision problems don’t always mean blurry eyesight. Even kids who “see fine” can have issues with tracking, focusing, or visual processing — and these can directly impact their learning.

Signs to watch for:
- Complaints of headaches or tired eyes
- Losing place while reading
- Difficulty with attention or comprehension
- Avoiding close-up work

Because 80% of classroom learning is visual, detecting these issues early is key to your child’s success.

✅ Yearly eye exams can catch hidden problems
✅ Pediatric eye care supports learning and confidence

If your child is struggling in school or it's been more than one year since their last eye exam, schedule one today!

Earlier this month, Dr. Faith Schneider and the team at EyeCare Associates LLC in York, NE, provided free vision exams for 19 students from York Elementary School. These students were referred based on the school’s required annual vision tests. Remarkably, all 19 students needed glasses, and each one received a pair.

This initiative marks the beginning of the eYES program, launched in partnership with the Nebraska Foundation for Children’s Vision. The York County Community Coalition generously funded the glasses.

Thank you NOA doctors for your commitment to help students see clearly so they can learn more effectively.

Thank you to all school staff and nurses who brought everyone out! Thank you to VSP Vision for their mobile clinic. Our members Dr. Kim Johnson and Dr. Kyle Craw also generously volunteered their time today to provide all of the free eye exams, thank you both!
