Melvin Churchill, MD, was educated at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and subsequently at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, receiving a Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Churchill was a Fellow in Internal Medicine and a Fellow in Rheumatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

He joined Dr. Art Weaver and Dr. David Cooley in 1980 and was subsequent founder of the Arthritis Center of Nebraska in concert with Dr. Art Weaver and Dr. Alan Jacobs in 1984.

Dr. Churchill is a founding fellow of the American Rheumatism Association, Member of the American College of Physicians and has been active in clinical research since the mid eighties.

Dr. Churchill is actively involved in teaching young physicians, allied health professionals, and support groups throughout the region. He shares his clinical and research skills by speaking to his peers, locally and nationally.
