Thirteen-year-old Liam is a brain tumor fighter, and thanks to blood donors, he was able to get back to doing what he loves ❤️
Recently, Liam wasn’t feeling like himself. He was low on energy, pale, achy, and missing school. After routine bloodwork showed his platelet and hemoglobin counts were low, he spent two afternoons at Children's Nebraska receiving platelet and blood transfusions.
Just one day later, Liam was back under the Friday night lights, joining the high school marching band.
“We are so grateful to all who regularly give blood,” shared Liam's mom, Kati.
Stories like Liam’s are a powerful reminder that blood donation helps patients far beyond the walls of a hospital. It helps kids get back to school, back to activities they love, and back to being kids.
