There are three chances to practice yoga with me this week!

Is becoming more flexible one of your summer goals? When I started doing yoga, I couldn't even touch my toes and after a few weeks, I was delighted to find that my fingertips would find the mat in every forward fold! it was so exciting and kept me motivated to continue my practice because I felt so good in my body. I would love to show you how you can do this as well.

Got some work done on my little baby raised bed today! I didn't like the way I had haphazardly planted some starts and didn't even bother planting any seeds so I decided to completely redo it. Can you tell nearly all the signs in my birth chart are mutable? 😅

I do square foot gardening hence the sticks helping me mark out my "squares". Now I have planted carrots, beets, spinach, and green onions! I'm so excited to be able to go out to the garden and pick things for a salad later this summer 💚

Had some time in between clients today so I grabbed some early lunch at MoJava. Usually my habit is to hurry and snarf my food and hurry back. Not today. Today I am enjoying the hour I have and savoring my food and coffee and enjoying the music and general vibe of the place.

I was talking to a friend about self-care and how as bodyworkers we need to take care of ourselves so we can be there for our clients. This is what my practice looks like today.

I woke up around 2am with an awful migraine that kept me up for hours until I could finally fall back asleep. I recently got a deck of Self-Care wisdom cards and thought it was the perfect day to pull a card.

Surrender. Just what I needed. For years, I would just power through my day saving calling in for when it was REALLY bad. Today, I looked at my schedule and decided to block off my last couple of appointments so I could take tonight to rest and recover. My to-do list has been pared down to accommodate my lower energy today. It's taken me years to learn to slow down and honor my body and what I need.

All part of the journey. How's your energy today and how are you honoring it?

Our Story

Yoga has been an adventure for me ever since I discovered it while living in Wyoming. Some people come to yoga for the physical benefits and some come for the mental. I was definitely in the mental camp. Yoga helped me overcome anxiety and depression leaving me with an incredible urge to share its healing with others. I love to show others how wonderful they can feel in their own skin and how they can take that feeling off the mat and into their everyday lives. I love bringing playfulness and laughter to my practice and my classes. I received my RYT-200 in 2013 and am currently pursuing my RYT-500.

In 2019, I realized my calling to become a healer and will be enrolling in massage therapy school in the fall of 2020.
