🌟 Meet Connie, one of Sedgebrook’s newest residents of 2025! 🌟

Originally from Highland Park, Connie made the move in April to be closer to her daughters and granddaughters. A former 3rd-grade teacher, she brings a warm heart, an active spirit, and a love for community to Sedgebrook. Connie enjoys reading, gardening, the arts, balance class, water aerobics, and staying involved with her church’s ladies’ groups. She’s happily trading cooking for delicious chef-prepared meals and is especially excited about the extra space in her apartment for sleepovers with her granddaughters! 🏡✨

Meet Sue & Joel, who joined the Sedgebrook family in April 2025! 💙 After two decades in their downtown Chicago condo, they made the move to be closer to their three children and grandchildren.

Joel enjoyed a successful career as an executive in the women’s apparel industry, frequently traveling to fashion events in New York and Paris. He stays active with golf, Pilates, coaching, reading, and more.

Sue dedicated her career to helping others as a physical therapist at both Rush and Highland Park Hospitals. Her hobbies include Pilates, swimming, golf, canasta, tennis, gardening, and book clubs.

They’re excited to learn “anything and everything” as they begin this next chapter at Sedgebrook! 💫

Say hello to some of our newest 2025 neighbors, Joan and Cliff! 👋 They joined Sedgebrook in April after moving from Lincolnshire and are proud parents of three and grandparents of six.

Cliff, who ran his own printing sales company, is excited to spend more time birdwatching and playing Canasta. He has been active in Rotary, served on several boards, and enjoys mentoring young people.

Joan, a former elementary school teacher in Chicago, Deerfield, and Bannockburn, is passionate about reading, music, travel, and lifelong learning.

They are both looking forward to building new friendships and embracing all that Sedgebrook has to offer. Let’s give them a warm welcome! 💙

Say hello to Myra Loris, one of the remarkable residents who joined Sedgebrook in 2025! 🎉

Myra became a part of our community in February, moving here from Lincolnshire. She is a proud mother of three and a grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren. For many years, she inspired young minds as a history teacher at Highland Park High School. Now enjoying her retirement, Myra continues to share her passion for history through engaging seminars on the Supreme Court, past presidents, and various other topics.

Meet Steve, one of our many residents who embraces an active and fulfilling lifestyle! 🚴‍♂️🙌 One of his favorite pastimes is exploring the scenic Des Plaines River Trail adjacent to our community, and this week, he biked an impressive 10 miles!

When he's not out biking, he enjoys partaking in the countless activities within Sedgebrook, as well as outside activities like scuba diving around the world and volunteering at a local hospital. 💙 Here's to our amazing residents making every day count!
