The Hotsie-Totsie Voices will present “We Hold These Truths ~ A Musical Journey for America at 250” on Saturday, May 16th. The 2 pm show is primarily for residents. The 6 pm show is open to family and friends. The concert will focus on hope; acknowledging that our country is both a gift and a responsibility. This season we have more than 50 singers - residents from IL, AL and Mezzanine, Care Partners, staff and family members. Truly Carrington’s community choir. Join us to be inspired! ❤️🇺🇸💙

This sweet couple met at the Carrington. Daniel was a concierge and then became an IT Associate. Maria continues to be the most loving caregiver to several of our residents. We showered Maria and Daniel for their wedding and this weekend we showered them with love again. Their baby boy is due in July and this community could not be more thrilled for them. 💙🎉🙏🏻❤️

Residents, staff and friends enjoyed a night out at the beautiful Shakespeare Theatre on Chicago’s Navy Pier. We saw the Merry Wives of Windsor! 💓

Today we were visited by a group of baby chicks and the joy they brought was immediate. Residents began sharing stories of growing up on farms, caring for animals and other springtime traditions. It’s amazing to see how something so small can spark meaningful conversations and connections!

We love our partnership with Lincolnwood School District 74. 4th graders from the Rutledge Hall art club brought blankets over. Together the students and our residents created these small blankets that will be donated to Wright-Way Animal Rescue for dogs who are up for adoption. Another win-win-win! 🐾 ❤️

Today Dorge, Director of Food and Beverage, and Kelly, Director of Dementia Training and Programming spoke about the benefits of the MIND Diet.

Right on the heels of our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, we put everyone to work! Another Carrington Activity Fair in the books and it was a huge success. So grateful for all these resident leaders who make the Carrington such a vibrant and interesting place to live! 🪴🧶♣️🙏🏻🎨🎶

Today we hosted the Business Leaders Breakfast for the Alzheimer’s Association and the North Shore Walk to End Alzheimer’s Executive Committee. Leaders from the North Shore met to discuss advocacy, awareness and how to support others who are impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The Carrington is a proud sponsor of the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s North Shore. In addition, Kelly, Director of Dementia Training and Programs is serving on the Executive Committee.
