Massage Therapy Program at Brookdale Community College

Comprehensive LMT training that prepares students for state licensure and board certification. Texts, portable table, and MBLEx/license fees not included.

Overview
Brookdale's Therapeutic Massage program offers a unique, linear and student-focused learning experience. Students begin and graduate together as one class with a maximum of 12 students per program. We provide an excellent academic foundation and strong applied skills. Students will develop the knowledge and ability to effectively conduct a client assessment, create ethical treatment plans

, deliver safe and effective massage therapy treatments, and evaluate the outcome of these treatments. Our lecture room provides visual and creative multi-media for learning the relevant sciences and pathology. The massage supply kit, which is included in tuition, is put to good use in our professional practical classroom boasting fully equipped massage bays and a hand-washing station to provide an exceptional practical learning experience. Nearing the end of the program, students will conduct therapeutic treatments to diverse audiences at the LMT supervised Student Massage Clinic located at Lincroft campus. We offer employment support through our business classes and match our graduates with interested employers through our job board. Affordability
Student liability insurance is included in our tuition as is a massage kit which provides supplies for a successful practical class experience. Financial aid is a possibility for many with a few different avenues to achieve assistance.

Our Program Coordinator, Jennifer Carlson, LMT, has set up the MT Program curriculum in such a way that students are primed for not only their state board exam (MBLEx) but to have an advantage of being nearly ready to challenge the National Cerification Board exam (NCBTMB). Being educated to the level of Board Certification comes with a level of respect and professionalism.

NCBTMB ELECTIONS ARE NOW OPEN! The Slate Selection Commission has finalized the slate for the NCBTMB elections.

✅ All Board Certificants in good standing as of Nov. 1, 2024, are eligible to vote.

🙌 Another shout out to our mid-day students and all of our student clinical patrons for their part in helping the Massage Therapy Program at Brookdale Community College and the The Caroline Huber Holistic Wellness Center to stock the Nutrition Hub here on the Lincroft campus!

As payment for student massage sessions, clients are asked to bring in a $25-$35 donation of non-perishable food items. We take stock of what is collected each clinical day and then pass it all on to the Nurtition Hub on campus. Swipe to read more about the food pantry.

🙌 Brookdale's MT Program is helping the to stock the Nutrition Hub!

When we run our student massage clinic, sessions are free. Our clients have asked us time and again what they can do to give back. This round, we have an answer!

Our Fall Morning class of 2024/25 is in FULL swing!

Week 2 has our new students learning about the first A&P systems and intro topics for kinesiology. Jen Carlson and Felicia Sachs will be leading this class as they navigate the human body, kinesiology, intake, assessment, and technical application of massage therapy with clinical experience.
