We recently introduced the community to the new DaVinci robot housed at UT Health Athens. This piece of technology allows for laparoscopic, robot-assisted surgeries across a multitude of specialties, including, but not limited to, gynecology, general surgery and urology.

The innovation enables smaller incisions, less pain and faster recovery times. Robert Dorman, MD, was on hand to answer questions and demonstrate its uses. The community was invited to come and get a hands-on look at the latest example of how UT Health Athens was bringing innovation to Henderson County.
