🌿 Phytochemical Cycling + Hormonal Rhythms 🌙✨
Your hormones run on a daily rhythm, and your food can too. By aligning colorful plant compounds with the body’s natural clock, you can help support energy, focus, and rest. Here are some of my ideas of how to sync your circadian-hormonal rhythm with plant food intake (I’m calling this “phytochemical cycling”!):

☀️ Morning (Cortisol Peak)
Flavonoids (green tea 🍵, citrus 🍊) and nitrates (greens 🥬, beets ❤️) are studied for their role in alertness and circulation.

🌞 Midday (Digestive Fire Strong)
Crucifers and lignans (broccoli 🥦, arugula 🌱, flax 🌿) support healthy hormone metabolism.
Carotenoids (tomatoes 🍅, peppers 🌶️, watermelon 🍉) may help buffer oxidative stress at the time of peak UV exposure.

🌇 Afternoon (Energy Dip)
Adaptogens (maca 🌿, ginseng 🌱) and cacao 🍫 have been traditionally used to support resilience and mood.

🌙 Evening (Melatonin Rising)
Polyphenols (tart cherry 🍒, kiwi 🥝, chamomile 🌼) and magnesium-rich foods (pumpkin seeds 🎃) are connected with relaxation and nighttime recovery.

✨ Takeaway: Think of your food as part of your circadian rhythm: Morning phytoenergizers, midday phytoprotectors, afternoon adaptogens, evening calmers. 🌈

A fresh month means new beginnings, new goals, and a shift into the cozy season of Fall. The crisp air, changing leaves, and all things pumpkin-spiced remind us that change can be beautiful. 🍁

But as we welcome cooler weather and spend less time outdoors, our bodies can start feeling the shift too. With less sunlight, our Vitamin D levels may drop — which plays a big role in supporting our immune system against seasonal colds and flus. 🤧☀️
