And that’s a wrap on 2025! 🤰🏼✨

This year, I was incredibly blessed to walk alongside 21 families as they welcomed new life into the world. What an honor it has been to witness so many sacred beginnings.

I finished the year with:
💙 8 sweet boys
🩷 13 beautiful girls

Each birth was unique, powerful, and deeply holy. Time and time again, God showed up — in strength, peace, healing, and joy. This work continues to remind me that birth is not just physical… it is spiritual, intimate, and God-designed.

2025 was also a year of growth and obedience as I began pursuing the path to my midwifery dream, stepping further into the calling God placed on my heart long ago. I am endlessly grateful for the life He has given me — one that is fulfilling, purpose-driven, and centered on serving women and families.

Here’s to 2026 and all that God already has written — more babies, more stories, more trust, and more miracles. ✨🙏🏼

🌟 Birth Story Spotlight 🌟

This incredible mama was induced at just 34 weeks and persevered through every challenge that came her way — determined, faithful, and full of grace. After laboring for 42 hours, consistent pressure from providers to opt for a cesarean, she held strong to her instincts, her faith, and the birth she envisioned… and welcomed her sweet baby boy vaginally on Wednesday 10/15 at 11:19 AM, weighing 4 pounds 12 ounces! 💪✨

Even while on magnesium and feeling completely exhausted, she leaned into her strength and trusted God every step of the way — feeling His presence carrying her through the waves of labor. 🙏💖

Dad was the ultimate partner and advocate — educating himself, asking the right questions, and helping make informed choices that honored their values and their baby’s journey into the world. 👏❤️

Their unwavering faith, teamwork, and advocacy led to exactly what was meant to be — a healthy baby, a thriving mama, and a birth story covered in God’s grace. 💕

I feel so honored to have walked beside them, helping educate, support, and empower them to feel confident and informed in every decision they made. Watching their faith and strength unfold was nothing short of beautiful. 🤍

Born at 3:17 PM today, weighing 8 pounds 4 ounces.
She made her peaceful entrance via water birth, and mama was an absolute ROCKSTAR—trusting her body and flowing through a beautifully quick labor with so much strength and intuition.

What an honor it was to witness such raw power and love. 💗💦

A nuchal cord is a medical way of saying that baby’s cord is wrapped around their neck. ⁣⁠
⁣⁠
This is something you’ve probably heard about and you may even know someone who had this happen during their birth. ⁣⁠
⁣⁠
❗This isn’t at all surprising because nuchal cords are actually quite common – occurring in a little more than 1 in 3 births!⁣⁠
⁣⁠
And even though the idea of the cord being wrapped around the neck seems very scary, in reality, the chance of any complications is rare. ⁣⁠
⁣⁠
Sometimes we know about nuchal cords ahead of time because they are seen on ultrasound, but in many cases, we don’t know until baby is born.⁣⁠
⁣⁠
👉🏻 The most common complication occurs during labor. ⁣⁠
⁣⁠
Basically, when the cord is wrapped around baby’s neck, it can be compressed during contractions, which in turn reduces the amount of blood (and therefore oxygen) that is getting to baby. ⁣⁠
⁣⁠
Often time, we see a decrease in baby’s heart rate on the fetal monitor, which tells us the cord is being compressed in some way - and many times we can intervene!⁣⁠
