Did you know injection molding has been around since 1872? The first machine used a simple plunger to mold hair combs and buttons...and it’s come a long way since.

Today, at All American Writing Instruments/Pen Company of America (PCA), our injection molds help bring every detail of our products to life, right here in New Jersey. Watching each mold open never gets old, it’s where precision meets creativity, and ideas literally take shape.

Manufacturing may look different than it did 150 years ago, but the passion behind it? Still the same.

This past Friday we were proud to attend NJMEP Manufacturers Day, an incredible event bringing together New Jersey manufacturers to celebrate innovation, community, and the future of our industry.

We are especially proud of Colleen Shea, who was honored to be nominated for the Rising Star Award representing Pen Company of America. While she did not take home the win, we are thrilled to congratulate the very deserving winner, Cari August of Lightera.

Thank you to NJMEP for hosting such a meaningful event, complete with insightful demonstrations and thoughtful interviews with both gubernatorial candidates. It was inspiring to be part of a day that shines a spotlight on the important role manufacturing plays here in New Jersey.
