To all the incredible moms out there, whether you're caring for toddlers or guiding grown children, you are the heart of your family and the foundation of strength.

At Doc’s Diet, we believe that when moms prioritize their health, everyone benefits. This Mother's Day, we're honoring all the mothers in our community who are taking bold steps toward healthier, happier lives. Between carpooling, cooking, working, and caring for everyone else, it's easy for moms to put themselves last. We want to remind all moms out there, you deserve care, too!

Don’t forget to make time for a little self-care, even with a crazy schedule. Taking even 10 minutes, just for you, can make a big difference in your day and the way you can show up for everyone else. You can and should say ‘no’ sometimes, it’s ok to not do everything. You have to protect your energy, no one but you can.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there!

One of our biggest setbacks when trying to get healthy is that there always seems to be a good excuse to not go on the walk, to not eat those healthy whole foods, to have that glass of wine, etc…I hope you could use this reminder as much as I can. You ARE stronger than your excuse, don’t forget that. You’ve got this, one choice at a time. Your goal is within reach!

Let’s be honest, starting a weight loss journey can be intimidating. It’s tempting to avoid change. We tell ourselves it’s easier to hold onto habits that have brought comfort, routines that feel familiar, even if it no longer fits with where we want to be in life.

Truthfully, choosing change is choosing life. It’s saying yes to possibility, yes to expansion, yes to your own rebirth.

Yes, it’s scary. Letting go of old patterns, old versions of ourselves, or even people that no longer align with who you want to be. It can feel like a loss. But, choosing to prioritize your health is choosing to believe in your future. It’s deciding that feeling better in your body, having more energy, and showing up for yourself are worth the discomfort of transformation.

On the other side of that discomfort is life. It’s renewal, it’s movement, it’s a breath of fresh air, and maybe, just maybe, a stronger, more authentic version of you.

There will be days it feels slow. Days it feels like nothing is happening. But change isn’t just about the number on the scale, it’s about reclaiming your confidence, your strength, and your life.

This is your reminder; you’re allowed to start over. You’re allowed to choose different. You’re allowed to want more.

With day light savings, I get busy wanting to enjoy the longer days and warmer weather. Time flies by when having fun, barbecues, sports, and family trips. If you also find yourself running around, here are some helpful tips and tricks to keep you on track through a busy time.

1. Keep snacks on hand - in your car or purse; there are a number of great grab and go bars that you can take on the run with you, pick your favorite! (Mine is RxBar 180 calories with 12 grams of protein) Another good go-to is a bag of almonds (1/4 cup 165 calories 6 grams of protein).
2. Find an accountability partner - find a friend that you know will check in with you and hold you accountable to reaching your goals. Someone you know will call you out when you’ve lost track.
3. Schedule your work out - it is easy to get caught up in things and push working out to the back burner. Schedule it into your week like it’s an appointment you can’t miss.
4. Keep it consistent - make life a little easier on yourself, eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch everyday. It will relieve some stress when trying to plan trips to the grocery store and make meal prep a breeze.
5. Stay Hydrated - Take a reusable water bottle with you everywhere you go. Drinking plenty of water helps in many ways, about three liters a day is a good goal.

Psst…summer is coming! But, spring can get chaotic.

For working parents especially, afterschool activities, while fun, can eat up leisure time pretty quickly, leaving less time and energy for you.

So, for the months of March, April, and May, on Mondays and Tuesdays only, let us help you simplify your life with 2 new promotions:

#1 Save time and money by scheduling a video visit! If you are an established patient, you have a scale and a home blood pressure monitor, and you would like a refill of your medication, delivery from Doc’s Diet will be free. For a limited time, convenience can cost you $10 less!!!

#2 Currently, Doc’s Diet charges $95 per in-person visit for established patients who would like a prescription of phentermine; so 2 separate visits would cost a total of $190 (plus an extra trip, which means more gas and more time out of your day). But, during this special, we can offer you a 60-day supply (remote visit) of the medication for a savings of $30!!!

You are busy! We want to make your life easier. So, through spring, Doc’s diet would like to help you trim precious minutes and dollars, while you juggle trimming pounds for summer.

Call us today and we can discuss how we can be of further assistance! Can’t wait to see you next time, at Doc’s Diet!
