May is Asthma Awareness Month.

Over 26 million people in the United States live with asthma. Asthma is a long-term lung condition where airways become inflamed, narrow, and produce extra mucus—making it difficult to breathe. An asthma attack occurs when the airways tighten even more, restricting airflow. Common triggers include allergens, irritants, infections, exercise and stress.
