Last Friday, Bethany Home hosted our annual community Trick or Treat event and what a turnout! Our residents had an absolute blast handing out candy and visiting with everyone! 🍬

A huge thank you to everyone who came and helped make this Bethany Home tradition so special. Your smiles and laughter brought so much joy to our residents this Halloween. We cannot wait to do it all again next year! 🧡

Happy Physical Therapy Month! 🎉

This October, we are celebrating our incredible Therapy Department for the dedication and expertise they bring to our residents every day!

In a long-term care setting our therapy team plays a vital role in helping residents maintain mobility, independence, and overall well-being. Physical therapy helps reduce pain and improve strength and balance. It also supports recovery after illness, injury, or surgery and empowers residents to stay as active and independent as possible. Through individualized treatment plans, this team helps residents reach their independence goals.

A round of applause goes to Wendy Johnson, our certified Physical Therapist, who is celebrating 30 years in the field. She has a multitude of experience in Home Healthcare, Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy, Wound Care, and Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation. Wendy also served as the Therapy Manager here at Bethany Home for the past 13 years. Her knowledge and experience have been a tremendous asset to our community. We are so grateful for her continued work here at Bethany Village and for the positive impact she has made throughout her career.

Thank you, Megan, Wendy, and Whitney, for the amazing work you do each day. Your care, compassion, and expertise truly make a difference in the lives of our residents. 💙

Our staff and residents got into the Halloween spirit yesterday with some pumpkin decorating! From spooky designs to festive creations, everyone had a wonderful time embracing the ghoulish magic of the season! 🎃

It’s been wonderful to see all the heartfelt comments on your post from people sharing their own memories and the magic they’ve felt on Halloween night at Bethany Home. Regardless of age, it’s a joy to know that these moments have touched so many lives throughout the years! ✨

If you’ve never spent Halloween night inside Bethany Home in Lindsborg, you’ve never truly seen what kindness looks like.

Every year, close to 300 kids and families line up outside. Little ghosts, superheroes, and princesses wait to walk the halls filled with laughter, candy, and joy. The residents, many dressed up themselves, sit ready with candy bowls and hearts full of love. The air is full of laughter, light, and life.

Over the many years of living in town, my wife and I have brought our kids here during Halloween.
But this year will be different.
Now, instead of attending, I’ll be helping.

Tonight I carried box after box and bag after bag of candy down to our family member’s room as we get ready for this coming Friday night. I couldn’t carry another piece if I tried, but the smiles that will come from it will be worth every trip. 🥲

Our family now has a loved one staying at Bethany Home for a little bit, and I can’t wait to see their smile as hundreds of kids parade through the halls. I can already hear their laughter mixing with the sound of tiny footsteps, a reminder that love and connection truly have no age limit.

This is what CommUNITY feels like.

🔹Our Maintenance Team plays a crucial role in supporting both our staff and residents by ensuring everything is functioning properly and up to code. Whether it’s a quick repair or a larger facility improvement, their attention to detail helps us maintain a welcoming and well-kept environment.

🔹Our Safety Team is always looking ahead, actively assessing and improving procedures to protect our residents and staff in all situations.

A heartfelt thank you to all the businesses who contributed their time, creativity, and resources to bring this idea to life. We are especially proud of our amazing Bethany Village team, whose hard work and dedication truly made the float one of a kind!

Our float takes the theme ""The Best Square Mile on Earth"" and expands on it by focusing on what truly makes Lindsborg special, its people.

Our group is made up of local businesses and organizations including Auburn Pharmacy, Bethany Home, Lindsborg Community Hospital, Lindsborg Kiwanis, Indigo Moo’d, Pestinger Heating and Air, and A-K Angus. Each of us plays a part in building and supporting this community. The float features a truck and trailer with a tv that had a camera on the crowd, along with walkers handing out candy.
Together, we are proud to represent the people who make up the best square mile on Earth."

Last Friday, we hosted our annual Skills and Safety Fair and it was an absolute blast!

Our staff had the chance to refresh and expand their knowledge on important topics like hand hygiene, fire safety, biohazard materials, and so much more. There were plenty of snacks, fun learning opportunities, and even a raffle!
