Yesterday, we were honored to celebrate the birthday of Dr. George C. Smith Jr., better known and loved by many as “Dr. Buddy!” 🎉💙

Dr. Buddy has faithfully served the residents of Lineville Health & Rehab for more than 40 years. He served as Co-Medical Director for 4 years and has dedicated the last 8 years as our full-time Medical Director. He is everything you could hope for in a provider - compassionate, dedicated, dependable, and deeply committed to the well-being of every resident he serves.

His care, leadership, and kindness have made an incredible impact on countless lives throughout the years. We celebrate not only his birthday, but also the tremendous blessing he has been to our residents, families, and staff for decades. 💙

We had an amazing time celebrating National Nurses Week last week at Lineville Health & Rehab! Our nurses were spoiled all week long with lots of delicious treats and appreciation for everything they do each day for our residents. 💙🩺🎉

🍦 Monday – Ice Cream Bar
🌮 Tuesday – Tacos & Nacho Bar provided by Gentiva Hospice
☕ Wednesday – Donuts & Coffee, plus lunch bags from Senior Care Pharmacy
🍖 Thursday – BBQ Lunch
🍋 Friday – Pizza, lemonade stand, and muffins provided by Compassus Hospice

Thank you to our wonderful community partners for helping us make the week extra special, and a HUGE thank you to our incredible nurses for your compassion, dedication, and hard work. We appreciate you more than words can say! 💙✨

Jan (left) has been with us for 18 wonderful years as a valued member of our dietary department.
