“I love working with the people at the Baker Center, we are all pretty close,” she says. “I enjoy taking care of and meeting the patients in our community, as well as getting to know visitors passing through with an urgent care need.”
Julia Perry, Office Manager of Baker Primary Care Center, says of Keressa: “She can be described in one word, ‘passionate’. Every conversation with her reflects the genuine care provided to our patients, and the sense of family both employees and patients feel. She is enthusiastic and thrives in a fast-paced environment. She wants to improve the quality of people’s lives by compassionately providing the best of care. Keressa truly makes a difference in patients’ lives every day.”
Keressa has been married to her husband Tony for almost 30 years. They have two adult daughters: Morghan, 27 and Addie, 22. They also have two dogs they love to spoil - Zoey (14) and Gizmo (10 months).
“We love to kayak, hike, and spend time on the lake in our spare time,” she says. “I am a member of Grace Community Church in Marion, NC where I serve on the medical team. I moved here from Bristol, Va in 2020 where I spent my adult life. My dad was in the Air Force, so growing up we moved around a lot. When I came to the area for my interview, I fell in love with the area and the people. I feel truly blessed to get to live and work in such a beautiful area.”
