Last week, we had a busy week and lots of fun celebrating National Skilled Nursing Care Week. We enjoyed "Muffins with Mom" for Mother's Day, Resident + Staff relay races/games, tie dying, cocktails + mocktails in the courtyard, temporary tattoos, Kona Ice Truck, and much more! What a fun, busy week! Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate and make the week extra special!

Today, we kick off a week long celebration for National Skilled Nursing Care Week! This year's theme of 'Tapestry of Life' highlights the meaningful stories that make up each person's journey in skilled nursing care. Everyone contributes a unique thread to this vibrant tapestry, from residents and families, to caregivers and staff, and beyond to our communities. Together, the dedication, care, and love from all creates a vibrant 'Tapestry' of our home!

The Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon held our first "Walkathon". The residents and staff were able to participate together to help get everyone moving and having fun! We finished our walk with Gatorade and snacks!

The residents celebrated the first day of Spring by creating flowers with paint and used forks as their "paintbrush". They turned out great!

Our local Artist of Residence, Angie Heuton, came by for her first visit and activity this past week! She will be coming by once a month to show and teach our residents different types of art styles and techniques. This time, we learned about watercolor painting and how to create different types of textures using different tools! We look forward to Angie's visits and learning more!

The Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon hosted "Young Reader's Day" and invited the 4th grade classes from Lisbon Elementary. The students each brought a book, and were split into small groups so they could all get a turn to read. The residents loved this, and we can't wait to do it again!
