This position is at a long-standing, CARF accredited, comprehensive behavioral health care agency in Columbiana County. The position is a f.t., exempt position with comprehensive insurance benefits, generous paid leave, retirement plan with employer match, and employee assistance program.
The CFO is a critical position providing financial, operational and programmatic support to the agency, supervision of the financial support staff and participation and leadership as a member of Leadership and Management Teams. The CFO is responsible for all financial and accounting functions and financial performance of the agency and works collaboratively with the Executive Director in implementing the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the agency as formulated by the Board of Trustees in accordance with established policies, standard accounting principles and all federal, state, local and contractual regulations. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and Leadership Team, managers and their staff, as internal customers of the finance team, to assist in providing useful, understandable and relevant financial information to support the profitable and sustainable operations, targeted levels of financial performance, and growth of the agency. CFO will have hands on responsibility and oversight of all accounting and financial operations including internal and external financial activities to ensure production of accurate, timely and understandable financial reports, budget analysis and financial analytical review. Duties range from supervision of financial intake to billing, AR, A/P, internal controls, overseeing monthly income and balance statements from general ledger, managing cash flow and expenditures; supervising payroll, including quarterly payroll tax statements/ reports; overseeing budget process/grants, forecasting revenues and expenditures, work to maximize revenues. Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets and oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring audit issues are resolved, all compliance issues are met, and ensure adequate controls are installed and substantiating information and documentation is approved and available. Establish financial reserves and stability. Prepare reports for agency Board, Departments, programs. Conduct, or participate in, meetings, with management, other staff and/or supervisees. Attend trainings and maintain current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
