Maintenance/Security Assistant
F.T. w/benefits (Non-Exempt)

(Afternoon-Evening Shift – normally M-Th., @1:30-10:00; & Fr. @9:30-6 p.m.)

OVERVIEW:

Perform general facility maintenance duties (directed and/or on own initiative) including, but not limited to: sweeps, mop/wax floors, vacuums/scrubs carpets; wash windows, walls, tiles, clean, in general and/or specific office areas, kitchens, and/or restrooms, air conditioning/heating vents, etc. Replace light bulbs. Set up, take down, carry tables/chairs in meeting rooms. Perform seasonal maintenance on facility grounds which includes, but is not limited to: grass cutting, shrub trimming, weeding, raking, shoveling, removal of snow, salting of sidewalks, driveway/parking lot maintenance. Remove trash, litter, from in- and/or outside of building; general offices and some individual office areas and take to collection unit. Perform minor electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing repairs to include resetting of any of all HVAC motors, pumps, compressors, boilers, breakers; changing belts, light sockets. Assemble new equipment/office furniture. Make deliveries and assist in deliveries of materials/equipment. Maintain tools and equipment. Provide feedback to supervisor on problems and/or need for repairs. Work from monthly job list.

Serve as back-up driver when needed, obeying all Ohio driver laws, and any related paperwork. Attend supervision, trainings, dept., staff mtgs.

Respond to immediate safety and/or operational concerns for the purpose of taking appropriate action. Secure buildings and grounds and close building ensuring all individuals have vacated, all kitchen areas inspected for applicable electrical equipment off (e.g., kitchen appliances, applicable lighting off, applicable lights on; doors locked, and alarm set upon exit.) Intermittently monitor hallways, restrooms for unauthorized individuals.

Regular attendance and adherence to work schedule. Complete timely submission of all time sheets and leave requests. Follow all agency policies and procedures with strict adherence to confidentiality as it relates to client names and records, administrative records and safety standards.

Parent Education Assistant/Mentor
OVERVIEW:

P.T. variable, 0-19 hrs. per week, non-exempt position. Retirement plan eligibility w/employer match; EAP.

Assists in the development/implementation of various grant-funded parenting programs for families. Direct service to include planning/delivery of non-treatment services for a parenting program with participants referred from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Performs assistive duties to enhance the delivery of additional grant-funded parenting programs.

Provides in-home mentoring, and follow-up activities with assigned families. Provides linkage, referral, scheduling, networking, and monitoring, and/or advocacy, as applicable. Meets department productivity expectations.

Plan and record documentation for services provided including progress toward identified program/individual goals. Perform computer data entry.

Complete agency required documentation. Timely and accurate completion of time reports. Regular attendance and work a flexible schedule. Attend team/staff meetings. Participate in supervision, travel, and training. Other duties as assigned/needed. E.O.E.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma, or GED, required, with minimum of one (1) year related experience, or Associate’s Degree in a related field required. Ohio Prevention credential (OCPSA, OCPS, or OCPC) referred. Must obtain the Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant (OSPSA) credential within 2 years of employment. Skills in written and verbal communication, assessment and planning, organization, interpersonal skills and teamwork. Ability to work a flexible schedule and perform computer data entry required. Knowledge of Microsoft (Word) preferred. Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, ability to meet agency required vehicle liability insurance limits, as applicable, have and maintain a vehicle in safe operating condition, and continued maintenance of all. Subject to criminal background, BMV, and drug screen clearances.

ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

FT - 40 hours per week, normally 1:30 P.M. - 10:00 P.M., M-Th., usually Fri., 9:30 - 6:00, subject to supervisor and agency need(s)

OVERVIEW:

This position includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, disability benefits, a retirement plan with eligibility for employer match, and generous paid leave. The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor (AMS) will perform various maintenance, custodial, and security duties, assist in maintaining the buildings and grounds, and provide preventive maintenance, and/or resolve immediate operational and/or safety concerns, Will train under the current Building Maintenance Supervisor (BMS) to learn the full scope of the provision of maintenance and security for the organization and function as BMS when BMS is on leave.

Respond to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (e.g., facility damage, vandalism, respond to alarms (from Receptionist or Vector Security), etc., for the purpose of taking appropriate action. Secure buildings and grounds and close building ensuring all individuals have vacated; all kitchen areas inspected for applicable electrical equipment off, (e.g, kitchen appliances, applicable lighting off, applicable lights on: doors locked, and alarm set upon exit. Intermittently monitor hallways, restrooms for suspicious or unauthorized individuals and report problems to receptionist to contact appropriate staff/authorities.

Train under the supervision of the BMS to learn the full scope of blueprints/layouts of all buildings, the electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, security systems and measures, vehicle and major appliances, equipment and tools (e.g., lawn, snow removal, furnace, compressors, pumps, etc.) upkeep and maintenance, including, toward this end, working with vendors, suppliers and contractors. Drive/operate agency vehicles, lawn mower, snow blower, snow removal truck, etc. as needed, obeying all Ohio driver laws, completing vehicle inspections before travel, and any related paperwork.

Attend staff supervision, trainings, and dept. and/or staff meetings, as requested, or required. Regular attendance and adherence to work schedule. Complete timely submission of all time sheets and leave requests. Follow all agency policies and procedures with strict adherence to confidentiality as it relates to client name and records, administrative records, and safety standards. Community Educator

OVERVIEW:

Deliver services—including Su***de Prevention Education and Kindness (SPEAK) program materials in alignment with House Bill 123, to school-age youth (grades 6-12, as well as their families, care givers, and/or educators as needed at the school location; provide education/prevention and consultation services to programs and individuals. Contact community partners (i.e. schools) to establish a partnership for becoming an educator for them, and to set up a schedule for presentations. Work collaboratively and maintain effective communication with referral sources, and other service providers, both internally and externally. Complete appropriate service-related documentation, tracking and reports, as required. Participate in team meetings, supervision, interagency meetings, etc. Consistent, timely and accurate completion of time reports. Perform computer data entry. Regular attendance and adherence to work schedule. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Other duties as assigned/needed. E.O.E.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent, required; an Associate’s degree or higher in Human Services, Education, or a related field is preferred. Two (2) years of related experience is also preferred. Employees in this position must obtain the Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant (OCPSA) credential within two (2) years of hire and maintain it in good standing through employment. Skills in written and verbal communication, including comfort and confidence presenting lessons in classrooms and large assemblies. Strong abilities in interviewing, observation, assessment and planning, organization, interpersonal skills, and teamwork. Knowledge of family centered, strength-based practices. Ability to perform computer data entry required, and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word) preferred. Criminal background, BMV, and drug screen clearances required. A valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and proof of state minimum vehicle insurance liability coverage are required.

Preferred Education/Training:

Advanced degree in mental health field or human/family services preferred. Active Ohio license as LSW, LPC, LISW, LMFT, psychologist, or nurse, is a plus but not required. Significant experience presenting to groups of students and families is highly preferred.
