Mushroom Fun Fact:
Beneath our feet lies a vast fungal network of mycelium, sometimes referred to as the "Wood Wide Web". This living network connects trees, plants, and fungi in a constant flow of information and support:
๐ Older trees can send sugars through the network to help younger saplings grow.
๐ Plants warn each other of pests or drought, giving neighbors a better chance of survival.
๐ Fungi benefit too! - in return for their services, they receive sugars and other compounds from plants, which fuel their own growth and reproduction.
The next time you walk in the woods, remember - youโre stepping across one of the most ancient, intelligent, and cooperative systems on Earth.
