🎉 A huge thank you to the Addison Fire Protection District for participating in a three-day training session on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)! We trained 42 first responders and were so impressed by their engagement and commitment to our community.

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 to ALL AMERICANS because many disabilities are developed later in life. Joe was an active, athletic teenager when, at 17, chickenpox encephalitis changed his life forever.

Today, Joe is a senior citizen who finds comfort at his RGA day program, thanks to . His sister, advocate, and guardian, Rosemary, says that "without Medicaid, essential healthcare insurance would be a challenge to obtain and afford."

The Senate bill would cut $1 trillion from the Medicaid program. That’s nearly 20% of Medicaid’s entire federal budget. "Losing Medicaid would affect both of our finances," said Rosemary. Since she and Joe are both senior citizens, her fear is real and understandable.

Emily’s parents worry and ask, “Who will care for her after we pass away?” In America, is the answer! Visit https://bit.ly/3I45yIr to tell Congress to vote NO to protect Emily’s future and her family’s peace of mind.

Emily loves her family, therapeutic horseback riding, and the Special Olympics. She lives in a community home where she gets the 24/7 support she needs, but it "would not be possible without the financial support from Medicaid," says her dad, Mike.
