🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 to ALL AMERICANS because many disabilities are developed later in life. Joe was an active, athletic teenager when, at 17, chickenpox encephalitis changed his life forever.

Today, Joe is a senior citizen who finds comfort at his RGA day program, thanks to . His sister, advocate, and guardian, Rosemary, says that "without Medicaid, essential healthcare insurance would be a challenge to obtain and afford."

The Senate bill would cut $1 trillion from the Medicaid program. That’s nearly 20% of Medicaid’s entire federal budget. "Losing Medicaid would affect both of our finances," said Rosemary. Since she and Joe are both senior citizens, her fear is real and understandable.

Emily loves her family, therapeutic horseback riding, and the Special Olympics. She lives in a community home where she gets the 24/7 support she needs, but it "would not be possible without the financial support from Medicaid," says her dad, Mike.

Meet Gregory. He’s 31 and loves being around people. When his family received the letter saying that he had been selected from the PUNS waiting list for Medicaid support, his mom, Diane, cried. “It made us feel like we won the lottery!”

to Greg because it provides a place where he is accepted and respected. Especially after the pandemic isolation, his Medicaid-funded adult day program has become his social outlet.

Now, his mom’s world is threatened by potential cuts. “It breaks my heart to think there will be no place for him if Medicaid...is discontinued!”

Meet Kacki! Her life is full, but she needs -funded support to keep it that way. Kacki relies on an aide, a job coach, and access to medical care for freedom and independence— American values worth investing in.

Her recently retired mom worries about the future. "We could literally go broke trying to pay for all the services she needs without the safety net of Medicaid... How will we be able to place her in a small group home?"

Last year, Kacki needed total hip reconstruction. This year, a breast cancer scare. These are costs no American family should have to bear alone. Protecting Medicaid means protecting Kacki from losing her healthcare, her support system, and her hope for a secure future.

Meet Terrence! He’s a 25-year-old Christmas baby who loves YouTube, old movies, and riding the train. Terrence has Autism and ADHD and thrives in his day program at RGA.

His mom, Lawanda, shares that Medicaid covers his daily medications, his day program, and even a tablet to help him communicate. As a single parent, Lawanda fears what cuts would mean. "I worry about any cuts at all because we cannot pay for these programs on our own..." Without Medicaid, he would not have access to the daily support he requires.
