Shining a light on her skills/talent. Her mother taught her how to make pies by scratch, which still brings a smile to her face. She worked for the State as a secretary. She stated she worked with the younger generation. They all enjoyed her fresh homemade cookies when she brought them to work. Her pride is her family, which also brought a smile just talking about them.

Shining a light on his skills/talent. He was raised on a farm. His father taught him to work hard while his mother taught him to be responsible. His mother was born in Chicago. He learned to milk cows by hand before the automation equipment came about. He tended to livestock. He went to serve in the army, becoming a paratrooper. He states he really enjoyed that. He also worked with a concrete business for years. He is most proud of his family.

Shining a light on her skills/talent. While raising her children she went to work as a secretary for a chiropractor and a insurance company in her local town for years. Her greatest joy is her family. Her mother and mother in law taught her the skill of baking. Everything was done by scratch. Her specialty was making delicious cheesecakes. She also treated her children with their favorite dish of choice. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and was a seamstress. Playing bridge was a favorite of hers with her friends. She and her sister were close, enjoyed each other.

She continues to nurture the plants inside/outside. She loves to feed the birds and the turtle.

Copper Creek Cottages Memory Care communities are located in Lincoln, Litchfield, and Mattoon, Illinois. Our Lincoln facility opened in July of 2016, and both Litchfield and Mattoon opened in the Spring of 2017. All three locations are currently accepting reservations! Copper Creek Cottages features an innovative design with memory challenges in mind; including 1 or 2 bedroom apartments with private baths and unique cottage fronts to assist residents in locating their "home." Throughout our communities, you will find continuous walking paths with hands-on activities to stimulate and inspire. Copper Creek Cottages offers the safety and care that your loved ones deserve. We offer an array of services and amenities including secured exits, medication management by a licensed nurse, and individual or group activities such as cooking, art, hobbies, music, etc., planned to invigorate. Outdoors, we boast a beautiful, secured courtyard for the enjoyment of our residents and guests. Caring staff, all of which are memory care certified, provide 24-hour care for the residents we call family. Support and education for families is also key.
