Did you know that September is National Gum Care Month? A lot goes in to maintaining healthy gums. Here are 5 ways to help your gum care at home and in a Dental office.
1. Brush daily, but not to hard as hard brushing can lead to receding gum lines.
2. Floss at least once a day. Make sure to ask your Hygienist how to floss properly. Flossing wrong can cause just as much harm as not flossing.
3. Use a fluoride toothpaste.
4. Use a ADA ( American Dental Association ) approved mouth wash.
5. Regular cleanings with a Dental Hygienist. If you keep your regular cleanings , your cleanings will become tailored to your oral hygiene and overall be more suitable to your needs!
