The City of Lancaster, PA does a great job of providing exciting options for the holiday season. Friday, December 12, downtown Lancaster City lights up for Lancaster Shops Late. One of the advantages of living at Landis Place On King or Steeple View Lofts, you would be just a few steps from all the fun.

Many local shops stay open late, the streets are full of holiday cheer, and you can support small businesses. Visitors can browse unique gifts, enjoy treats, and maybe even get free goodies at participating shops. More information is available at

Christmas Tree Lane at Penn Medicine Park

This morning the team from Steeple View Lofts and Landis Place On King were busy decorating a tree that is part of Christmas Tree Lane at Penn Medicine Park in .

The tree is one of more than 100 provided by Elizabeth Farms! Each tree is uniquely designed and ready for you to explore, enjoy, and vote for your favorites. Votes are just $2 each, with 100% of proceeds benefiting local non-profits. This FREE event has fun for the whole family — no tickets needed!

The team is choosing to raise money for Bright Side Opportunities Center and their "Strong Choices, Bright Futures" program. This effort is aimed at encouraging seniors to adopt an active lifestyle, thereby reducing the risk of sedentary lifestyle diseases. Some of these programs are held at Landis Place on King and are a huge benefit to residents, according to Ben Smith, Director of Landis Quality Living Communities. “We want to show our support for this wonderful program.”
