When transitioning from a five-point harness to a booster seat, there are factors to consider beyond just height and weight of the child.

One key factor that may be overlooked by caregivers is maturity of the child. If she is wiggly and unable to stay sitting upright in her booster (with the seat belt properly fitted across the shoulder and below the hips when her toy falls on the floor), she is not ready for a booster.
