I have been patiently tending to my Monarda Fistulosa (Bergamot or Bee Balm) for the past 3 years. It’s always struggled.

This year it took off- and I am thrilled!
It’s almost 4’ tall, huge, healthy with a ton of flowers.

Took my first harvest today and that’s in the dehydrator gently drying. It will be stored and added to some new blends.
Isn’t she beautiful?? And the bumbles absolutely LOVE her!

What to do on a cold, rainy day??? Make apple cider!

5 lbs apples (cored and sliced)
2 oranges (sliced)
5 cinnamon sticks
1 Cp Maple Syrup
1 Tbsp whole clove
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp allspice
Enough water to cover the apples

Simmer for 2-3 hours until apples are very soft
Mash with a potato masher
Strain through mesh strainer into jars

Enjoy the way your house smells!!!
