A big round of applause for our exceptional Heart Failure Clinic team! 👏 Today was all about learning and growing, as Abbott reps educated us on the Assert IQ Loop Recorders. This innovative tech simplifies arrhythmia monitoring for our patients. 🫀

Imagine: a quick clinic visit for implantation, and then our team takes over, keeping a daily watch for any signs of arrhythmia. That means faster detection and more proactive care for those living with cardiac arrhythmias. We're so proud of our team's dedication to providing the best possible care! Imagine Better Health!

💙 Faces Behind the care 💙

At Family Medical Center, every member of our team plays a vital role in your health journey. Today, we want to celebrate Beth Lange, our amazing Clinic Receptionist!

🌟If you had to describe your job in three words, what would they be?
Compassion, Inclusive, Care

🌟What's one company value that resonates most with you and why?
Compassion because we, at times, get a patient on the phone or in front of us at a difficult or stressful time in their lives. For myself, I try my best to listen to their concerns and what they are needing so I can get the Pt the care or help they need in as timely of a manner as possible. It's rewarding when you hear a heartfelt thank you from a patient or a family member of a patient.

🌟 What makes you love working at Family Medical Center?
The work atmosphere is amazing, the clinic registration team is amazing. It's also a great part of the job when you get to know patients and can even sometimes be helpful to patients when they consider you a "go-to" person when they have questions or concerns.

🌟What do you like to do when you are not working?
Listening to music and playing with my dogs.🐶🎵

Next time you see Beth, be sure to say hello and thank her for her incredible work!

🌟 Employee Spotlight 🌟

This week, we’re proud to highlight two incredible members of our Referrals team at Family Medical Center — Mercede McMahan and Nikki Girtz. 💚💙🩵

Mercede McMahan – Referrals
Mercede’s favorite part of her workday is her coworkers. There isn’t a day that goes by without connecting, learning, asking questions, and working together as a team. “They are a second family to me.” 🫂

The company value that resonates most with Mercede is Compassion. Working in the referral department allows her to bridge the gap between providers and patients, ensuring healthcare needs are met with care and attention.

She loves that her job doesn’t feel like work — helping others has always been her passion, and referrals give her the opportunity to do just that.

Outside of work, you’ll find Mercede spending time with family or enjoying her favorite hobby: photography. 📸

Nikki Girtz – Referrals
Nikki finds fulfillment in facilitating a smooth referral process to ensure patients receive timely care. Making sure patients’ needs are prioritized is what compassion means to her. ❤️

She loves working at Family Medical Center because of the incredible team of office staff, providers, and nurses she works alongside every day. ✨️

When she’s not at work, Nikki enjoys spending time with family and friends and attending her kids’ activities.

Please join us in celebrating Mercede and Nikki for their dedication, compassion, and teamwork! 👏

🚨 Acts of Kindness Award Spotlight! 🚨

Huge shout-out and congratulations to our incredible team member, Megan Dilley, for embodying the true spirit of compassion and dedication!

Megan was recently presented with our "Acts of Kindness" award for her extraordinary selflessness during a recent bad weather event. When the helicopter couldn't fly, she didn't hesitate – Megan volunteered to ride in the back of the ambulance with a patient who needed a higher level of care, ensuring they got the critical transport they needed safely.

This is what true care looks like. Thank you, Megan, for your unwavering commitment to our patients and for going above and beyond when it mattered most! You're an inspiration to us all. 👏

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet Holly Schiller! 🌟

Today, we're shining a light on one of the wonderful faces you often see at our front desk – our amazing Clinic Receptionist, Holly Schiller!

When we asked Holly about her favorite part of a typical workday, she shared, "My favorite part of any day is seeing the mommies that come in, we get to watch them throughout their pregnancy and then we get to meet their new little ones when they come in for their appointments." ❤️ We love that too, Holly!

Holly deeply connects with our value of Compassion, explaining: "After just having lost my mom, I never realized how something as small as letting someone know you 'see them' can impact both people. Having compassion to be there for one another is where my heart feels full." It's this beautiful spirit that makes her such a comforting presence for our patients.

And what makes her love working at Family Medical Center? "My co-workers!" she says. "When I lost my mom, I have never felt so surrounded by understanding, love and compassion. I felt so supported and still do. I am grateful to work with the women I do." 🤍

Outside of work, Holly enjoys something wonderfully intricate and calming: adult coloring books! 🖍️

Thank you, Holly, for bringing so much warmth and compassion to our Family Medical Center family! We're so grateful to have you.
