Did you know that the Annual Guardianship Report is mandatory for all guardians in New Jersey?

This report must be filed every year on the anniversary of your appointment as guardian.

At Guiding Hands Guardianship Services, we assist families like Mrs. Jessie's in completing the required guardianship reports and understanding their responsibilities.

Need help? GHGS is here to assist you. Contact us to schedule an appointment.

Today, we met with a dedicated parent from the City of Passaic who was left without guidance from the school district regarding her son’s services and was unaware of the support available through DDD. Since his 2023 graduation, he has remained at home with no services, and unfortunately, her situation is not an isolated incident.

GHGS has already identified three other families facing the same challenges in this district, and we suspect there may be many more in similar situations.

Thanks to our collaboration with Leida Calvo from Apex Compassion, this parent will now initiate the process of accessing the services her son deserves. At GHGS, our mission is clear: No family should ever be left behind. If you are aware of a family in a similar situation, please do not hesitate to contact us. Together, we can make a meaningful difference.

We appreciate his invitation and the time he dedicated to learning more about our services.

At GHGS, in addition to guardianship services, we also provide Job Training to help young adults gain confidence, develop workplace skills, and prepare for real-world opportunities.

Now it’s YOUR turn! GHGS has partnered with local small businesses in Elmwood Park, and we’re looking for motivated young adults to volunteer 2–3 times a week. Gain hands-on experience, build your skills, and open doors to future opportunities!

GHGS proudly participated in the 8th annual Thanksgiving meal distribution at the Paterson Public Library. At this incredible event, we were joined by parents from our organization and other members who volunteered their time to support the community.

In just one hour, GHGS helped provide over 250+ hot meals, along with winter clothing, gloves, hats, canned goods, and much more, to families in need.

Thank you to the Wright Napier Foundation, the Paterson Food Truck Movement, and all of our incredible partners who made this event possible. We are honored to contribute and support families during this season of giving.

Thanksgiving Dinner and Special Recognition Ceremony. We had the honor of honoring Diego Aguas and Steven Tirado for their exceptional professional internships at St. Joseph's Health. We also sincerely thanked Ms. Cloris Bustamante, Director of Urban and Community Health, for giving these young men such a valuable opportunity. Although Steven couldn't attend, his proud mother kindly accepted the award on his behalf. It was a beautiful evening of gratitude, community, and celebration.
