Mountain Diaries...
✨🌿💎We had a full week here on the mountain
We hosted 54 Guests along with 11 Junior Rockhounds! 🌿💎🌿
Friends and memories were created,
Many beautiful crystals were discovered 🌿💎🌿
💎We welcomed several families with children of all ages, Even a few adventurous teenagers!!
They all enjoyed a fun packed adventurous day, ✨⚒️✨
💎A few experienced Herkimer miners joined us too
⚒️We moved alot of mountain this week...
Exploring the floor of the Gem Mine, Opening up the Big Digs producing line, Rubble removal, And the drilling of so many holes we can hardly count (I'm sure Michael McElwee could tell you though)
👉🌿Trail work was completed, cleaning up from the big rain wash outs we had...
🌿⚒️ A new trail was cut leading into the Lower Blue Waters Ledge, Michael skillfully worked the mountain side creating better access for us ⚒️🌿
✨🌿⚒️Then there were the crystals that were found, There were many high quality crystals that we're discovered, A few Specimens that were out of this world, Take a look!⚒️💎🌿✨

⚒️💎These calcite scepters were a very cool find! A great score for us, We've never seen Herkimer Calcite Scepters from here or from any other mine anywhere, (before coming across these)
We were told by the miner it was a one time discovery!

🌿 Here on the mountain we love our resident wild Life, This summer we have a momma deer with two tiny twins, along with one momma with one baby, We're very careful when we see them, To not startle them...
👉Yesterday in the mine during the middle of the day one teeny tiny fawn stepped into the Gem Mine, Bob captured this moment....
Rocky didn't make a peep or a movement towards her, He's so good.
👉For twenty years we've created our little sanctuary here, Living on the land and working with it is an honor , We enjoy all these special moments

We had twenty two guests on the mountain,
Along with 8 Junior Rockhounds! First time collectors, Families and experienced Herkimer miners 💎⚒️💎
👉Guests from Connecticut, Massachusetts , Long Island, South Carolina, Western New York, and Texas!
👉We are getting ready for another full day 🌿💎🌿

👉 Yesterday was a full day on the mountain...
We were very excited to host friends and family of the Elusive Herkimer Diamond Crew...
✨⚒️💎Check in was full of excitement and high vibes, A special day for us, We feel honored to host experienced miners from across the Valley and from across the globe!!
👉 The day started with incredible finds from the ledge, Maki & Joe Soukup and crew opened a solid pocket to reveal some very special calcite herk combo specimens!✨💎✨
👉 At the days end Chris Nelli hit big, He pulled some highly formed mountain Skeletals, Museum Grade specimens 🔥💎🔥
👉 Our visiting Junior Rockhound opened his finds at the end of the day to reveal bright brilliant gems filling his collection container, Kids always have to best luck!
👉We worked into the darkness,
Michael McElwee worked through the rubble, cleaning up this highly producing ledge!
👉Today is a FULL House & We are BOOKED!!

👉 We had a very exciting day up here yesterday on the mountain...
Started off during check In, Our returning guests brought back crystals they dug last week to show us, We knew they hit big but to see the crystals cleaned up we were blown away! We had so much fun enjoying their discovery....
👉This same couple had another awesome day with us, He hit another pocket and she scored a scepter!

👉At the end of the day we all gathered together for a show and tell...
