I hope we can have some conversations about how to deploy, maintain and manage these effectively. Mobile devices in clinical and patient experience applications are presenting new and challenging ways to use new technology while protecting privacy and transparency and maintaining reliability and effective management. iOS and Android devices, combined with a wide range of software management tools, require healthcare IT professionals to consider how these devices are deployed, maintained and managed at every level. I have had many years’ experience with PCs, tablets and mobile devices used in healthcare, business, education, retail and hospitality. And I have been watching with great interest the proliferation of mobile devices and their related tools in medical environments. I thought it would be helpful to provide another forum on Facebook to discuss the introduction of mobile devices in this area, sharing some of my ongoing research and the experiences of our friends and colleagues. I would love to facilitate some discussion on the uses, concerns, strategies for deployment and even the most current technology being developed for networking, syncing and charging these devices in a hospitals, nursing homes and medical practices.
