The Parkway Village dining room is our latest renovation. A unique feature we added is a hydroponic garden. Vegetables are grown with little to no soil in nutrient-rich water that feeds the roots. Our residents have already enjoyed tomatoes, and salad greens will be ready in a few weeks.

Today's outing for Parkway Village residents was to the Jacksonville Museum of Military History. Exhibits cover the Ford, Bacon, and Davis Munitions Plant in Jacksonville that was operated almost entirely by women during World War 2, the Titan Two Missile sites that were in Arkansas during the "Cold War," and other memorabilia from military history. Museum volunteer Jack Meadows guided the group through the museum.

The Parkway Health Center at Parkway Village in Little Rock has undergone renovations both inside and out, creating a brighter, more open environment for our residents. The open lobby provides a place for residents and families to visit, while staff enjoy updated stations for their work. More is planned but here's a peak at changes thus far!

January 2025 finds us settling back into our usual activities at Parkway Village including water volleyball, water aerobics, walking in water, stretch and strengthen exercise class, painting class, bingo, caregivers and veterans support groups, and weekly gatherings for men’s and women’s coffee. Then the blizzard hit! But thanks to the wonderful dining, housekeeping, maintanence and security staff, life at Parkway Village continued without much interruption! Once the snow melted we enjoyed a trip to Plum Bayou Mounds State Park and lunch at the ever popular and delicious Charlotte’s Eats and Sweets in Keo. On campus concerts from Pat Becker and The Rex Bell Trio, Curtis Arnold and Paradox Consort provided wonderful musical entertainment during the cold afternoons!
