Union Rescue Mission- Little Rock

Union Rescue Mission- Little Rock Sharing faith, hope, and love since 1946. Through our faith based live in recovery programs lives are being changed.

Our Mission: We provide a place of refuge for the abused, recovery for the addicted and rescue for the hopeless through the transforming love of Jesus Christ. The Nehemiah House reaches out to the those caught in addiction, struggling in homelessness, and the disadvantaged men of Arkansas with the compassion of Jesus Christ. Those who are struggling with chemical dependency and other addictions fi

nd hope and support to break the shackles of their addictions and begin to rebuild their lives. Dorcas House provides help to women and children experiencing domestic violence and those caught addiction. We provide emergency services like food, shelter, clothing and crisis intervention to more than 400 women and children annually. We offer a faith based Domestic Violence Recovery Program and a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Program led by licensed Christian therapists. We also offer longer-term living arrangements available through our Work Program once finished with Recovery programs. The curriculum that we offer goes beyond educating women about the cycle of violence and addiction but rather addresses root problems through intensive group therapy. There is counseling and therapy provided for the children as well as family group therapy. Our program encourages women to address deep-seeded pain and suffering like childhood sexual abuse, co-dependence and depression. By addressing the deeper issues and providing education on how to overcome those issues we see lives changed and unhealthy cycles broken. We work cooperatively with law enforcement and court officials to promote the protection and safety of battered women and children. For more information on our Recovery Programs through the Nehemiah House or the Dorcas House call (501) 370-0808 or go to our website at www.urmissionlr.org. If you or someone you know someone needs help, then please call the national domestic violence hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233); and she will be directed to the appropriate shelter or safe house.

We are so grateful for the opportunity our Nehemiah House men had to serve alongside New Life Church at Maumelle Center on the Lake. With 20 volunteers giving their time and energy, they helped spread mulch across the property—showing what it truly means to serve others with humility and purpose.

Moments like these are a powerful reminder that recovery is not just about personal transformation, but about giving back and being the hands and feet of Jesus. We are incredibly thankful for partnerships like this and for leaders like Kim White who help make days like this possible.

So proud of these men for stepping up, serving well, and continuing to walk out the life God has called them to live. 🙌

There’s something special about this day.

Every year, the men of Nehemiah House—along with graduates who continue to come back and pour into the place that helped change their lives—gather as brothers in Christ and make the climb to the top of Pinnacle Mountain.

It’s more than a hike. It’s a picture of the journey.

Recovery often feels like standing at the bottom of the mountain—overwhelming, uncertain, and hard. The path isn’t easy. But step by step, surrender after surrender, something begins to change.

When you reach the top, it’s not just about the view—it’s about what you’ve laid down along the way. Every thought, every decision, every hurt, every piece of your past… surrendered to Jesus. What once felt like control becomes obedience. And in that obedience, you find freedom.

Days like this remind us what recovery is truly about—men putting differences aside, locking arms, praying over one another, and giving God all the glory for His power to restore hearts, renew minds, and save souls.

We are incredibly grateful for these men who are committed to becoming who God has called them to be—so that when they leave Nehemiah House, they go out as disciples who make disciples wherever God leads them.

If you’ve ever been told you’re too far gone, let this be your reminder:
God makes all things new.

What the world may label as “an addict” is often exactly who God chooses to use for His glory.

Recently, a few of our staff members had an incredible day on the course with beautiful weather at the annual The Parker Gill Foundation Golf Tournament , all in support of saving lives and making a lasting impact in our community. ⛳️

We are thankful for this amazing group—Jon (New Life Church), Jeremy (Executive Director- URM), Nick (CIT–MLTC), and Eric (CIT–MLTC). There’s never a dull moment when this crew is together, and it’s always a blessing to build relationships while supporting organizations that are truly making a difference in our community. 🤝

We are blessed to be a part opportunities like this where we come together for something so much bigger than ourselves.

God is on the move! Thank you to the ParkerGill Foundation and all of those who worked hard to make this day so special!

We are so incredibly grateful for our community and for those who come alongside us in the work God has called us to do at the Union Rescue Mission. 🤍

Last night, we had the privilege of attending the SimpleNest Community Event as one of their Community Partners, and we are truly overwhelmed by the love, support, and passion they have for this mission.

Because of partners like this, we are able to continue serving the men, women, and children God has entrusted to us—bringing hope, healing, and restoration in ways that only He can.

A special thank you to Rhea Middleton, Becky Norris, and the entire SimpleNest team—your hearts for Jesus shine so brightly. We are deeply grateful for every prayer, every act of generosity, and the intentional way you show up for our mission.

We believe in the power of prayer, and it is such an honor to know you are covering us daily.

Thank you for being a light in our community and for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful and irreplaceable partnership. ✨

He is risen!

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise.” Revelation 5:12

Today we celebrate the victory of Jesus. The grave could not hold Him. Death was defeated. Because of His resurrection, we are not defined by our past, our failures, or our sin. His blood covers us completely. What was broken has been made new. What was lost has been restored.

Through His sacrifice, we are forgiven. Through His resurrection, we are given life. This is not just a story from long ago. It is a living hope that still changes lives today.

At the Union Rescue Mission, we see that hope in action every day. Men, women, and children are finding new life, freedom, and restoration through the same power that raised Christ from the dead.

If you want to be part of bringing that hope to others, we invite you to give. Your support helps us continue to serve and walk alongside those rebuilding their lives.

Donate today and be a part of the resurrection story happening right here in your community. urmissionlr.org/donate

“He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5

Jesus chose the cross knowing the cost. He stepped into suffering, rejection, and unimaginable pain not because He had to, but because He loves us that deeply. Good Friday reminds us that even in the darkest moment, God was working redemption. What looked like defeat became the greatest victory.

At the Union Rescue Mission, we see that same truth play out every day. Lives that feel broken, lost, or beyond hope are not the end of the story. Through grace, healing, and community, restoration is possible.

We invite you to be part of that work. Your support helps provide shelter, recovery, and hope to those who need it most.

Donate today and be a part of changing lives.

We had the incredible privilege of being one of 317coffee community partners last year—and we are beyond honored to be partnering with them again this year. 🤍

I’m not sure I’ve ever encountered a group of people so genuine, so fully surrendered to Christ, and so deeply rooted in a faith that is steadfast and unshakable.

This past year hasn’t been without its challenges. The owner, Drew Cline, faced significant loss and hardship—but through it all, his unwavering trust in the Lord has been nothing short of inspiring. Because of that faith and surrender, 317 has become more than just a coffee shop—it’s a place of peace. A place to gather, to work, to rest… and truly feel the presence of the Lord.

What an honor it is to partner again this year—building meaningful relationships with people that God so intentionally places in our lives.

Sydney, you are truly amazing at what you do. Your heart is pure gold, and it was such a joy getting to see you today. Thank you for being an advocate for those who feel lost—you are making an eternal impact. I can’t wait to see all that God continues to do through you.

☘️ Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Union Rescue Mission! ☘️

Many people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with green clothes and festive traditions, but the history behind the day carries a powerful message of faith, transformation, and redemption.

St. Patrick himself was once enslaved in Ireland as a young man. After escaping and returning home, he later chose to go back to Ireland not with bitterness, but with a calling to share hope and faith with the very people who had once held him captive. His life is remembered as a story of forgiveness, purpose, and the power of a changed heart.

At Union Rescue Mission, we see stories of transformation every day. Men and women come to us during some of the darkest seasons of their lives, but through faith, community, and support, many find hope and a new direction.

St. Patrick’s story reminds us that no past is too broken and no situation is too far gone for redemption.

Today we celebrate the hope of new beginnings and the lives being restored right here in our community. 💚

If you would like to support the work happening at Union Rescue Mission, your prayers, volunteer time, and generosity help make transformation possible.
