🖥️🚍 Opportunity Pulled Up Today. 🚍🖥️

Arkansas Department of Workforce Services is on site with its Mobile Workforce Ceter — computers up, applications open, staff ready to help.

Our guys are sitting down one by one, building resumes, searching jobs, filling out applications, asking questions. Real help. Real access. No excuses about “I don’t have a computer” or “I don’t know where to start.”

It’s right here in the parking lot.

From recovery meetings… to hot meals… to education… and now employment resources pulling straight up to the door.

This is what forward motion looks like.

Not just staying clean — building a future.

🌶️🎓 Chili, College & New Beginnings. 🎓🌶️

It’s all happening right now.

Ambassadors for Christ is on site hosting their chili cook-off — tables decorated, crockpots lined up, volunteers serving with smiles. Our guys are moving through the line, grabbing a bowl, sitting down, talking, connecting. It feels like community in the room.

At the same time, Shorter College is here at the table signing residents up for classes. Real applications. Real conversations. Real next steps. Not “one day” talk — today talk.

That’s what we’re about.

You can get a hot bowl of chili… and walk a few steps over and start planning your future.

Faith. Fellowship. Education. Opportunity.

Not just feeding stomachs — building lives.

🍕🍪 Tonight’s dinner.

Full table. Plates in hand. Everybody lined up and ready.

Pizza stacked up, big salad bowl, cookies, cupcakes, donuts, pie, veggie trays — a little bit of everything.

These moments matter. After a long day, everybody standing around the table, talking, laughing, grabbing a slice and sitting down together.

It’s knowing there’s a place at the table for you.

✂️💈 Meet Christopher.

One of our newer residents — and he didn’t waste any time getting plugged in.

Since he got here, he’s already been giving fresh fades to the guys who needed a cut. Clippers out, lining them up, helping everybody feel a little more put together.

But he didn’t stop there.

When his talent got noticed and we encouraged him to pay it forward, he walked across the street and started cutting the hair of several people in the homeless community too.

No spotlight. No big announcement. Just using what he knows how to do to serve somebody else.

That’s what this place is about.

Finding what you’ve got — and putting it to work for good. Take a moment to welcome Chris and thank him for his service!

One of our residents got baptized today!

We support all pathways of recovery— this is beautiful watching our men find their way and choose to live!

Thank you so much Shane Golden and Heritage Church for becoming family to our community.

☀️🍩 Weekend mode.

It’s rest time for most of the guys. No rushing out the door. No packed schedule.

Donuts on the table. Cereal poured. Coffee going. Music playing in the background. Some getting ready for church, some just easing into the morning.

Weekends here are slower — and that’s a good thing.

After a full week of meetings, work, and structure, it’s important to breathe. To sit. To laugh. To talk about life. To show up at church together and just be present.

Recovery isn’t just grind mode. It’s learning how to rest the right way too.

🔥🍽️ From morning to night — this is what community looks like.

First, Pastor Dudley at Christ Church on Vimy Rd invited a group of our guys to come load up on food boxes. Groceries, pantry items, snacks — truck beds full.

Then we brought it back and fired up the grill.

Thanks to Potluck Food Rescue and Little Caesars (who always take care of us), the guys had plenty. Ribs on the smoker, food on the grill, pizza inside, snacks stocked up.

Full truck. Full grill. Full table. Full bellies.

Good food, good people, and a long day of grilling and chilling together.

We’re thankful for every partner who helps make days like this happen. If you’d like to come alongside what we’re doing, reach out or drop some words of encouragement to our guys below!

🛠️🏠 This is what teamwork looks like.

Huge thank you to Lowe’s for donating two brand new 13x10 storage units to The Magnolia Recovery Community .

The guys showed up, worked together, and got them loaded up and moved to their new home. Straps, jacks, muscle, problem-solving — everybody had a role.

These units are going to help us stay organized, protect donations, and keep things running smoother!

We’re grateful for partners like Lowe’s who invest in what we’re building — and proud of our guys for stepping up and getting it done.
