Today, November 20th is the Great American Smoke Out (GASO) Day. Earlier today a group of advocates gathered at Little Rock City Hall for a 10:00 a.m. press conference to commemorate the annual day of observance.

Purpose: The Great American Smokeout Day is a national event that encourages people who smoke to commit to quitting—even if just for one day. Held annually on the third Thursday of November, it raises awareness about the health risks of smoking and promotes resources and support for long-term cessation. It's a powerful moment to take the first step toward a smoke-free future.

A Call to Action: All To***co Users (Ci******es, V**es, Premium/luxury and small ci**rs, etc.) help us to recognize Thursday, November 20, 2025, as the Great American Smoke Out Day. Make and carry out a commitment not to use your to***co products for at least 24 hours. Instead, those of you who will be in the Little Rock area, join us at Little Rock City Hall for a 10:00 a.m. press conference. The first 30 people in attendance will receive a complimentary box lunch.

Coalition for a To***co Free Arkansas participated in the October 24, 2025, City of Little Rock Employees Health and Wellness Fair. Many to***co user were referred to cessation resources, some pledged to make their home smokefree, moving their smoking to the outside. Overall, it was a successful day.
