Aubrey D Haynes Educating & Advocating to support Rural Health Clinics and serve their patients.

Aubrey Haynes currently serves as the Finance Director at Pillow Clinic, an Independent Rural Health Clinic in Helena, Arkansas. She has over eight years of experience in healthcare finance and care management program development. Aubrey is an alum of Louisiana Tech University where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. While the bulk of her experience comes from working in a Rural Health Clinic, she got her start in healthcare finance when working at Pafford Emergency Medical Services while attending college in Ruston, LA. Directly after graduation, she started at Pillow Clinic as a billing clerk where she quickly worked her way into the Billing Manager Position. Within her first year working in a Rural Health Clinic, she became a Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional who dedicates her time to leading and implementing changes at Pillow Clinic. In June of 2019, Aubrey implemented a Chronic Care Management program that grew to consistently serve 1,000 patients per month. In 2023, Aubrey was elected to the NARHC Board of Directors and she will serve as Vice President for 2025. Aubrey is a results-driven and passionate professional who is always eager to learn and stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the field. Her goal is to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of the rural communities and safety net providers that she serves.

When I say advocacy, I don’t mean buzzwords or soundbites.

I mean communicating with my congressmen & showing up to DC when I can. (And finding doggos along the way)
I mean asking why rural communities are expected to do more with less—again.
I mean standing between complex systems and real people who just want care that works.

This space is for questions.
For honesty.
For rural voices that are too often treated as an afterthought.

Welcome to the conversation.

While government budgets are debated in conference rooms, rural clinics are doing the math in real time.

Can we keep this service line open?
Can we give raises this year?
Can we afford to lose one more nurse?

Rural health clinics aren’t just medical offices—they’re economic anchors, employers, and lifelines. When funding is uncertain, the impact ripples far beyond exam rooms.

Advocacy isn’t abstract.
It’s about whether care exists when someone needs it.

That’s why I do this work. That’s why I keep asking.

January is supposed to feel like a fresh start--
For many rural families, it starts with confusion.

New insurance cards.
New formularies.
New deductibles.

Same long drives. Same provider shortages. Same questions.

Rural healthcare doesn’t get a clean slate when the calendar flips. It carries forward the consequences of policy decisions, reimbursement models, and access gaps that were never designed with rural communities in mind.

This year, I’ll keep asking the uncomfortable questions—about who our systems serve, who they leave behind, and how we do better.
Because “new year, new you” doesn’t mean much if care still isn’t reachable.

Follow along for 2026!

🎉We were thrilled to welcome members of the National Association of Rural Health Clinics—including NARHC Executive Director Nathan Baugh, QUAD A's Tawnya Brock, Pillow Clinic's Aubrey Haynes, InQuiseek Consulting's Cassie Beesley, Blue & Co., LLC's Amanda Dennison, and Health Services Association's Julie Quinn—to our 2025 Kentucky RHC Summit in Lexington last week! 🎉

NARHC plays a vital role in advocating for and supporting RHCs nationwide, and we are so grateful for their partnership and leadership. Their work helps ensure clinics in Kentucky and across the country have the resources, representation, and support they need to continue caring for rural communities. 💙

Thank you, NARHC, for all you do to be a strong voice for RHCs and to strengthen rural health!

I'm a chronic illness girly.

Currently unmedicated with psoriasis growing randomly from head to toe. I've been without a biologic for 6 weeks while the insurance decided to deny my new prescription. New symptoms occur daily as my last injection continues to detox from my system. The psoriasis burning through my body a little stronger each day.

Today brings hope: a new prescription scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. The start of getting inflamation back under control and hoping my joint pain, skin patches, and fatigue improves.

Insurance didnt approve the PA. A patient assistance program gets me access for 24 months or until Insurance approves. The journey continues..

If you wonder why I advocate for patient experience and care, its because I'm a patient too. ❤️

A beautiful sentiment.

Did you know your clinic can help manage your health every day, not just at visits? 💙
Advanced Primary Care Management (APCM) combines phone check-ins, care plans, and transition management to keep you feeling your best.

Even better? The service is most likely covered by your insurance.

While it's not consider a prentive service with waived patient responsibility, the cost will likely be comparable to an average medication prescription (about $15-25). Dual eligible patients can receive the service 100% covered! 🥳
