Join us for our meeting this Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Noon at St Vincent’s! Our program will featureguest speaker Jeff Smith of SMITH FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES.

Jeff is an Arkansas native, an entrepreneur and president of Smith Family Funeral Homes. The Smiths have been in the Arkansas funeral industry since his grandfather, Clifford Smith, founded North Little Rock Funeral Home on February 14, 1955. His son, John, was twelve and lived above the funeral home at the time. John succeeded Clifford and worked there until his retirement at the end of 2009.

In 2010, Jeff and his wife, Leslie, purchased Smith Family Funeral Homes from his parents and, under their leadership, the funeral home has grown six hundred percent in volume and revenue, expanding to nine locations, a cemetery, and three crematories. Serving 3000 families a year, Smith Family Funeral Homes is the largest funeral home in Central Arkansas. Jeff and Smith Family Funeral Homes have been featured in national magazines, The Director and American Funeral Director, in addition to Arkansas Business, AR Money and Politics, and other local publications.

In 2020, Jeff purchased Cyrus Life Insurance Company and founded Cyrus Works, a company dedicated to providing critical tools, services, and strategies to help fellow funeral home owners and guide them to success.

Jeff graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1997 and earned his MBA from the University of Memphis in 1998, where he graduated with honors.

Jeff loves giving back to his community and has led numerous boards and organizations. Currently, he is President of Little Rock Executive’s Association, and Chairman of the Funeral Service Foundation. He is a volunteer and past president of the board for Immerse Arkansas. He was a mentor in Big Brother Big Sisters and in 2003 he was selected as Big Brother of the Year. He is past president of the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association. He is a past elder in his church and was the co-founder and co-leader of the church’s mens ministry, Men of the Ozarks. He was recognized as an Arkansas Business 40 under 40 in 2014.

He is married to his best friend, Leslie, and they have been blessed with three children. In his free time, he loves golfing with friends, going to the lake, and spending time with his wife and family.
