Gastro Arkansas

Gastro Arkansas Our Mission at GastroArkansas is to provide high quality, cost effective, medically necessary health GastroArkansas has been in business for forty-one years.

GastroArkansas, PA was the first multi-physician group specializing in the practice of gastroenterology in the state of Arkansas. We specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of gastrointestinal diseases. All physicians are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and are serving the people of Arkansas with clinic locations in Little Rock and North Little Rock. Our en

doscopy centers were designed with quality and convenience in mind. Both centers specialize in therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy procedures and are committed to providing patients the highest standard of care. GastroArkansas’ in-center sedation service allows you to experience the safest level of sedation and comfort during a procedure. This is extremely uncommon in a hospital setting as anesthesia services are only used upon request. GastroArkansas utilizes pathologists who specialize in gastroenterology. Many hospitals have general pathology services, but often there is no pathologist whose singular focus is gastroenterology.

At Gastro Arkansas, we believe in the power of prevention—and so does our fearless leader, Alisa Petet-McElfresh. She's so passionate about saving lives through early detection that she allowed us to film her own colonoscopy to help show patients just how simple—and important—this screening really is.

Colonoscopies may seem intimidating, but the truth is, they’re a “no big deal” that makes a very big difference. If you’re 45 or older and haven’t had your screening yet, now is the time.

📞 Call us at (501) 664-6980 to schedule your colonoscopy.

It could save your life. 💙

During her internal medicine training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, she completed the Women’s Health Track, gaining specialized expertise in conditions that uniquely affect women.

🏃‍♂️Did you know that regular exercise doesn’t just benefit your heart and muscles—it also helps keep your digestive system running smoothly?

Physical activity encourages healthy bowel movements, reduces bloating, and can even relieve symptoms of conditions like constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). A brisk walk, a yoga class, or a swim can go a long way in supporting your gut health.
