In observance of the Arkansas Activities Association’s mandatory Summer Dead Period, all LRSD athletic facilities will be closed from June 22 through July 7. This break supports student-athlete wellness and allows us to complete important facility maintenance. 🛠️

Several of our Health Services team spent two days in Conway at Arkansas School Nurses Association Annual Conference. We got to network with over 300 school nurses in the state and stay up to date on areas of practice. Nurse Patricia Brown was named Arkansas School Nurse of the Year…a much deserved honor! We wanted to give a shout out to Wakefield Elementary School and their team! They coordinated with our department and had 28 of their employees show up for CPR / First Aid class yesterday. Safe campuses support education!! Little Rock School District

Just a few of us getting to celebrate Nurse Brown for being named Arkansas School Nurse of the Year. The Arkansas School Nurses Association will pay for her to attend National Conference next year in Las Vegas in order to be recognized nationally. She’s truly one of a kind!!
