On behalf of PAAC, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us on May 23–24, 2025, for a powerful and inspiring weekend of learning, sharing, and preserving history.

We are especially grateful to our presenters, panelists, moderators, and attendees for their dedication to honoring and preserving the legacy of African American cemeteries. Your participation and insights made this conference a memorable and meaningful event.

Special thanks to the Dumas Community Center, the Syrene Missionary Baptist Church and our incredible volunteers for their hospitality and support throughout the weekend.

In Memory of Elsie Robinson Dodson, a member of AAHGS and PAAC. Elsie's family has established a Memorial Scholarship to honor her legacy in Civil Rights. Please pass this flyer on to those that will meet the criteria for this scholarship. Deadline is April 15th. The winner will receive their scholarship during the PAAC Cemetery Conference in May. The City of Wrightsville Legacy Summit was a great success encouraging everyone to reclaim their heritage, embrace opportunities and prepare for the future. Thanks to our volunteers for representing our organization as a vendor and also discussing our current Project 365.

The Central Arkansas Library Expo was a great success. We enjoyed introducing our organization to all of the attendees and also visiting the other tables displaying families with strong ties to Central Arkansas Black History. Special thanks to our volunteers that represented our organization.
