Teacher Spotlight: Logan German

Logan is an Arkansas native who has been teaching and performing with Arkansas Acro Yoga since 2018. As a practitioner of yoga for over ten years, she believes that yoga and meditation could save the world and wants to share her practice with her community. Her classes are trauma informed and led with a lot of compassion and care.

Join Wesley Pilcher for a two hour workshop to explore Pranayama and Meditation. Pranayama is the ancient
practice of controlling the breath through specific breathing techniques. Prana means “life-force” and
we will explore through various breathing practices how we can control, enhance and shift the prana
or energy in the body. A regular pranayama practice can increase lung capacity, vitality and overall
well-being. Meditation , what it is and why it is practiced. Is it attainable in everyday life . What is the
benefits and can it bring you to freedom?



In this workshop we will learn the following:
~Learn and practice various pranayama practices including nadi shodhana, ujjayi, kapalabhati,
sh*tali, deerga swasm, 2:1 breathing, and Kumbhaka.
~Understanding the energetic calming, balancing or energizing effects of pranayama practices.
~Incorporating Pranayama into asana practice and meditation.
~ Effectively locating and utilizing the bandhas (energy-locks) during pranayama.
~Meditation discussion and practices you can easily do, whenever and wherever

Join Kayce Johnson for a guided meditation to help you understand, identify, and release energetic blocks using the chakra system. Join AYC owners, Kayce Johnson and Wesley Pilcher, for a Pop-Up Yoga Nidra and Sound Bath Class!

Yoga Nidra means “Yogic Sleep.” It is a state of consciousness and gently focuses the mind while allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images to arise and go on. In Yoga Nidra, you leave the waking state, go past the dreaming state, and go to deep sleep yet remain awake. While Yoga Nidra is a state that is very relaxing, it is also used by yogis to purify the Samskaras (the deep impressions that are the driving force behind karma).

This deeply relaxing class will combine the guided meditation of Yoga Nidra with the healing sounds of crystal singing bowls, drums, crystal pyramids, gongs, and other healing instruments. This class is suitable for all-levels and is taught in a reclined position that encourages stillness and brings the practitioner into a meditative state.

Cost: $25

Join Tom every Tuesday evening 6:45-7:45pm for Tai Chi. All-Levels/experience welcome! This special class is included in your class package or available at a drop-in rate.

Sun style Tai Chi is known for its smooth and flowing movements. Sun avoids the more physically vigorous crouching and leaping of some other styles. Its gentle postures and high stances make it highly accessible regardless of age.

Tom has been teaching mindful movement, meditation and yoga since 1998. He has trained and studied mindfulness techniques with Thich Nhat Hanh and Jon Kabat-Zinn. He was instrumental in founding the Flint Mindfulness Initiative with the Crim Foundation which is now in hundreds of schools throughout Michigan. The program is nationally recognized as a leader in mindfulness education. Tom and his wife, Susan, recently moved to Little Rock in order to be closer to their three grandchildren.
