An Arkansas Family taking care of Arkansans!
Hi Y’all, I’m Sonia Lucas-Meyer, Owner of Arkansas Medical Staffing, LLC (Pictured front and center) ~ As a small child I always wanted to be a nurse. Not just any nurse but a nurse like my Aunt Martha Bryan, a highly skilled surgical nurse at Crittenden Regional Hospital in West Memphis, AR. She is incredibly intelligent, very caring, professional, and beautiful. I understood nursing is a highly respected, exhausting, yet very rewarding profession. I saw the love she had for it every single day she came home from work while I stayed a couple of weeks at a time with her. However, life itself changed that all for me. I wasn’t able to achieve that dream of becoming a nurse but I was creatively positioned in every job I ever had to serve Arkansans, provide excellent customer service, while managing people as I helped build my employers’ businesses and increase their successes my entire professional career. All along thinking of my dream, of which I thought had been put to rest -. I now know, that my journey was a training session that my Heavenly Father was preparing me for such a time as this.
In 2008 God gave me the greatest opportunity to open up....a what?....a NURSE STAFFING AGENCY!! My dream has been fulfilled in so many ways! I’m still not a nurse, but I get to be the Administrator the...Owner to manage and staff nurses all over our beautiful state!! My heart has always been taking great care of Arkansans in every way I possibly can. My greatest passion is to love the Lord with all my spirit, mind and heart and to keep Arkansas Nurses Right Here at Home to take great care of our families and friends throughout our communities, cities and the great state of Arkansas. We need them right here at home!! Many nurses leave Arkansas to adventure out to other states, some go on 13 week travel assignments then move on to the next one and some just simply quit because of burn out due to the shortage of nurses that we have and they are understaffed and over worked. My mission is to help!! Help the NURSES, hospitals, specialty hospitals, psych facilities, schools, clinics and whom ever needs us!
At Arkansas Medical Staffing, we do not hire every nurse who walks in our doors. We are very particular about who represents our professional team of nurses, which in turn represents the facilities that we provide service to. But most importantly because we demand a commitment to excellence in caring for the patients we have the opportunity to provide nursing services to. Arkansas patients deserve and desire the best care possible and not everyone that has a nursing license unfortunately meets our criteria. When a facility calls us for a nurse or a nursing assistant - they know that they have an asset to their team coming!! We are so very proud of our nursing team! We truly treat them like family and not a name and phone number.
We understand the high cost of healthcare and we make sure that we can provide excellence at the fraction of the cost of other agencies and still take great care of our nurses competitively. We are budget conscious to the facilities that we serve which sets us apart from other local agencies and especially the traveling agencies that come into our state. As we know that cost has to trickle down to all of us, the patient/the consumer. We care about YOU!
