🍁Happy Thanksgiving from the Integrative Counseling Center team! This is the season of GRATITUDE! We are grateful for our clients, team members, community, and everyone who has helped us build Integrative Counseling Center in any way. We appreciate being allowed to serve the community!
🍂Gratitude is a deep appreciation for what you have, recognizing the goodness in both the ordinary and the difficult aspects of life. It's a practice of acknowledging and appreciating the kindness of others, the blessings you receive, and the moments of grace. It’s about shifting focus from what you lack to what is already present.
🍁I challenge you all to start a gratitude journal or a gratitude jar. Think of something big or small that you are grateful for on a daily basis. Practicing gratitude has been shown to increase happiness, improve health, improve relationships with others, help you focus on the positive aspects of your life instead of the negative, help you feel more content, and lead to overall higher life satisfaction. When we don’t practice gratitude we are always chasing. Always seeking more in the material world. Always on the hamster wheel. Life is never good enough in the moment. Being intentional about practicing gratitude regularly is good for your health! Have a great holiday!
