What a great time we had at the City of Little Rock, AR - Government’s State of the City address last week! 🏙️

We loved being part of the community resource fair and meeting so many of our neighbors.

Our team had a blast providing health education and on-the-spot screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol. Helping our community learn ways to get and stay healthy is what we do best! 🩺🩹

Want to bring the gift of health to your next event? We’d love to be there! 🚐Give us a call at 501.686.2720 and let’s do it! ☎️

Access to healthy food is the foundation of a vibrant life! While 1 in 5 Arkansans and 1 in 4 children face hunger, we are committed to closing that gap and reducing chronic disease through better nutrition.🍎🍏

We were honored to host our 2nd No Cost Food Market at the historic Bethel A.M.E. Church Little Rock, recently. Together with our partners, Potluck Food Rescue, UAMS Culinary Medicine, Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, and AR WIC Breastfeeding, we made true impact:
• More than 2,000 pounds of crisp, fresh fruits and vegetables. 🍍🥦
• Shelf-stable pantry items 🥫
• Wholistic support, including important health screenings, SNAP enrollment, and WIC assistance. 🩺🩹

A HUGE thank you to our incredible volunteers and Commissioners who came to help make this a successful day for the community. 👏🏾

During a routine cervical cancer screening, Jasmine’s Pap test showed abnormal cells. If left untreated, abnormal cells can turn into cervical cancer, so Jasmine got a preventive procedure. Stay up to date on screenings so you can stop cervical cancer in its tracks. https://bit.ly/4bug59D

Arkansas Minority Health Commission: Your Health. Our Priority.

At the Arkansas Minority Health Commission, our goal is to be a catalyst in bridging the gap in the health status of the minority population and that of the majority population in Arkansas. To accomplish this, the commission focuses on addressing existing disparities in minority communities, educating these communities on healthier lifestyles, promoting awareness of services and accessibility within our health care system, and making recommendations to relevant agencies, the Governor and to the state legislature.
