The first generation of our family, Arthur Mentley, received his Funeral Directing License in 1941 and following his service in the US Navy during WWII he started Mentley Funeral Home Inc. The second generation to join the business was Terry W. Mentley and his brother Thomas Mentley. A second location was established in Cattaraugus, NY from 1966 to 1990. In 1983 a third location was started in Little Valley, NY. The third generation to join the business was Timothy Mentley who was licensed in 1991 and continues to run the business today. In 1994 O'Rourke Funeral Home of Ellicottville, NY was purchased and moved to our Little Valley location.
