Most people should see the dentist every six months for a cleaning and checkup. These visits help find small problems before they turn into bigger and more costly issues. Some patients may need to visit more often based on their oral health. Not sure when you last had a checkup? Call us at (717) 359-5723 to schedule an appointment.

What you eat affects your oral health. Sugary and acidic foods can wear down enamel and cause cavities. On the other hand, foods rich in calcium strengthen your teeth. Eating a balanced diet helps your smile and keeps you healthy overall. If you have questions about taking care of your teeth, call us at (717) 359-5723.

LDA visited the Littlestown Food Pantry at New Hope Ministries, where Shaylee (Patient Care Coordinator) presented Leah (Littlestown Director) and Michelle (Gift Coordinator) with a check for $308.82.
The Food Pantry was chosen by our team and Doctors Mike Strickler and Waleed Ahmed to receive our celebration donation. We are so grateful for the services they provide to our community and for the caring individuals who make it all possible.
Leah also shared that there is a special need for the following items this holiday season — and throughout the year, as the need is always present:
• Chunky soups
• Canned meat
• Spam
• Canned meals
• Suddenly Salad
• Chef Boyardee
• Tuna and chicken packets
• Personal care items
If you’re able to donate, your support is greatly appreciated!

Brushing too hard can do more harm than good. Scrubbing aggressively doesn’t mean cleaner teeth. It can actually wear down enamel and irritate your gums. The trick is to use a soft-bristle toothbrush in gentle circular motions and brush for a full 2 minutes. Think of brushing like massaging rather than scrubbing. If your toothbrush bristles fray quickly or your gums bleed often, it might be time to rethink your technique.
