Midday Reset in the River Room: 30 Minutes to Clear Your Mind—And Boost It

Do you ever notice that by midday—or especially midweek—your energy dips, your focus scatters, and stress feels heavier? That’s not weakness—it’s how the brain and body naturally respond when we’re carrying full days, constant noise, and too much to do. Science shows that giving yourself a short, intentional break in the middle of the day can restore clarity, improve memory and mood, and make it easier to carry on with calm and focus.

That’s exactly why we created the Midday Reset in the River Room.

In just 30 minutes, you’ll be guided by two science-backed tools designed to support your nervous system and brain:

🌿 Sensate — chosen for the way it gently stimulates the vagus nerve with sound and vibration, shifting the body out of stress mode and into a calmer, grounded state. Many people describe it as finally being able to “let go” of tension they didn’t realize they were holding.

🌿 NuCalm — chosen for its ability to guide brainwaves into the same rhythms seen in deep rest and meditation. Using specially designed soundscapes, it helps quiet the mental chatter and allows the mind to reset—like a power nap for your nervous system, without the grogginess.

And it all unfolds in the River Room, where the sounds of the Ammonoosuc River lull you as you settle into a massage lounger. Layers of relaxation—carefully curated with weighted blankets, sound, scent, and science—work together to help you truly let go.

The result is simple but powerful: a nervous system that feels calmer, a mind that’s clearer, and energy to return to your day renewed. It’s a pause that pays you back for the rest of the week.

Wednesdays at 11:30 & 12:30
30 minutes | $25 | Reserve your massage lounger in advance

We’re grateful to share that Root to Rise will return this fall—made possible by a generous grant from Outdoor Adventuring For Good, whose support helps us continue offering this healing program at no cost to participants.

Root to Rise is a 6-week, trauma-informed healing series for women who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault. It’s a quiet, supportive space to reconnect with your body, your breath, and your capacity to heal—on your terms, and in your own time. Each week we gather for gentle movement, restorative practices, meditation, expressive art, and reflection. You won’t be asked to share your story. You don’t need any experience. You will be met with care.

We begin Monday, September 15th at 6:00 PM at DustOff Yoga in Littleton, NH.

There is no fee to attend, however there is a $50 reservation fee to hold your space and help us honor the intimate size of this program. If cost is a barrier, deposit waivers are always available.

Participants will receive a yoga mat, journal, and all materials needed to support the practices offered. Those who complete the program will also receive a 5-class studio pass to continue practicing in community.

If this feels like it might be for you—or someone you love—we invite you to reach out, ask questions, or register quietly through the link in our bio.

You are seen and welcome here just as you are.

We are delighted to welcome Annalisa to The River Room, where she will be welcoming guests and offering personal care as they settle into their relaxation and midday sessions~a true concierge of rest and renewal.

Annalisa brings a lifetime of experience in caring for others—as a retired kindergarten teacher, trained birth doula, and advocate for survivors of intimate partner violence. We’re in the heart of summer—days full and bright, the heat lingers, and the season calls for both mindful movement and unhurried rest. Inside, the studio offers a cool retreat from the heat. Lights are low, the pace is steady, and a chilled peppermint cloths will be waiting to refresh you before savasana.

📣New Classes: Aligned (Vinyasa Yoga) Mondays at 4pm and Serenity (Gentle Candlelight Yoga) Sundays at 6pm! Join Kim in the studio for these nurturing new offerings where we’ll steady the breath, move mindfully, and release long held tension.

📣 We’ve expanded River Room sessions to welcome two new ways to reset and restore.

Monday Morning Relaxation at 10:15 — the perfect transition after our EMPOWERED yoga class, or a gentle start all its own.

Midday Reset — a 30-minute pause in the middle of your week. Step into The River Room for a focused moment of calm, whether you’re between meetings, on lunch break, or simply ready to let go of the morning’s weight. Choose your reset: Sensate’s gentle, heart-centered resonance or NuCalm’s soothing, brainwave-guided drift.

In just half an hour, your breath steadies, your mind clears, and your body releases what it no longer needs. You’ll return refreshed, focused, and creatively recharged — ready to step back into your day with ease. Offered Wednesdays at 11:30 and 12:30.

Come join us! Whether you choose the grounding of your mat or the stillness of The River Room, each visit is a quiet return to yourself—an exhale in the middle of summer’s fullness.

Please join us in welcoming Kim Ket to DustOff Yoga! At DustOff Yoga, we are well known for our commitment to trauma‑informed care — creating classes that prioritize choice, accessibility, and a supportive space for personal exploration. Kim joins our dynamic teaching team with this same dedication, bringing her own depth of training, compassion, and heart to every class she leads.

Kim’s journey into teaching is rooted in resilience, compassion, and the deep belief that yoga can meet us exactly where we are. Originally from a small village in Cambodia, Kim came to the United States in 2006 to reunite with her parents. Just two years later, she experienced the profound loss of her grandparents who had raised her — a heartbreak that opened the door to both grief and transformation.

In the quiet aftermath of loss, Kim discovered meditation and yoga. What began as a way to navigate sorrow became a steady anchor — a practice that helped her breathe through difficulty, reconnect with herself, and rediscover joy. Over the years, her studies in Hatha, Vinyasa, SPA Yoga®, Ayurveda, and meditation have deepened her understanding that yoga is not just movement, but an embodied practice of healing, connection, and presence.

Her classes offer more than a sequence of poses — they are an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and explore the space where strength and softness meet. EveryBODY is welcome, every experience is honored.

Join Kim on Monday afternoons at 4pm for: ALIGNED (Vinyasa Flow) Breath-led and intentionally paced, this flow blends strength, balance, and focus with space to listen to your own body. Sunday at 6:00 PM – SERENITY (Spa Yoga) A candlelit, restorative experience with calming music, guided relaxation, and the option for gentle, grounding touch to help you release tension.

Outside the studio, Kim continues to explore meditation, Ayurveda, and time with her family and community. Come meet Kim, roll out your mat, and experience her warm, grounded teaching style for yourself.

Hydration Supports Presence: A seasonal nudge for the continued heat of the summer season

With heat and humidity lingering this week, your body is already working harder—just to stay in balance. At DustOff, we’re adjusting to meet the season with care. Expect slower practices, more rest cues, and gentle reminders to hydrate.

Because hydration isn’t just a summer suggestion—it’s nervous system support.

Even a small drop—just 1–2% dehydration—can impact:
• Mental clarity
• Mood stability
• Energy levels

If you’ve felt foggy, fatigued, or “off” lately, it might not be you—it might be your water intake.

💧 So if it’s been a minute since your last sip, this is your nudge.
No pressure. Just bring water, keep it nearby, and sip slowly.

Hydration supports digestion, heart rate regulation, and the ability to shift into calm.

This week, let your practice reflect the season:
slow, spacious, and kind.

And if your system is asking for deeper restoration, the River Room is open—a quiet, cool refuge for tired bodies and busy minds.

This week’s schedule is live 🌿

It’s been unseasonably hot in the North Country for weeks—and it’s not over yet. That’s why our studio is now softly air-conditioned, so you can move, rest, and breathe with more ease even when the heat and humidity remain high. After class, a chilled peppermint facecloth awaits—a simple ritual of refreshment to help you arrive fully into savAHHHHHsana.

What makes us different? Here, we move slowly. We listen inward. DustOff Yoga is a space where your nervous system is honored—where every detail is chosen with care, from the quiet of the room to the steadiness of your breath. And just beyond the studio walls, The River Room continues to welcome those in need of deeper rest—private sessions designed to soothe, restore, and recalibrate.

Reserve your space. Come exactly as you are.
Let this be your return to center.

Thank you for your continued patience and presence as we flow through our lighter summer schedule. These slower weeks have allowed space for restoration—and we’re so grateful for your understanding.

We’ll be back to a full schedule in August, with new class offerings on the horizon. Stay tuned… there’s so much goodness coming your way.

The heat is here—and it’s asking us to move differently. 🌿
With temps expected in the 90s and no air conditioning in the studio, we encourage you to come prepared: hydrate well, dress lightly, and listen closely to what your body needs.

This week, our practices will meet the season—slow, spacious, and designed to soothe the nervous system.
The heat may be intense, but it can also be medicine. Let it soften you. Let it melt the edges. Let it be part of your unwinding.
