As the holidays approach, many of us find old feelings, memories, or grief rising a little closer to the surface. If this season feels tender for you, we invite you to our first Grief Ceremony with Elen.

This offering creates a warm, compassionate space to tend what lives within you. Through gentle teachings on grief, the steady pulse of medicine drum, plant-infused tea, time at a grief altar, somatic movement, and quiet writing, you’ll be supported in meeting your grief with care — without pressure to change your experience. Held in the studio sanctuary, with the quiet sound of the river nearby, this ceremony offers a steady place to feel supported and not alone.

Saturday, December 13 • 3:30–6:00pm
$35 • Scholarship support available

**This gathering is intentionally limited to 12 participants so the space can remain intimate, supportive, and gently held for everyone who attends.

At the Studio Sanctuary, we embrace a simple but radical truth: your practice is a place to listen — not perform. In a world that rewards compliance and constant “yes,” our classes invite you to notice the quieter signals beneath the surface. The tug in your chest, the hesitation in your breath, the intuitive “no” that so often gets overridden. Here, honoring those signals is the practice. Not pushing. Not performing. But remembering you matter — and letting your body lead the way. As the holiday season gathers momentum, step inside and let the rush loosen its hold — coming back to the quiet rhythm where your “no” can finally be heard.

This week in the studio:

• Tuesday: GROUNDED class shifts into BALANCED for the winter season — a mobility-based 75-minute class that blends intentional movement, neurological and vestibular challenges, wobble cushions, balance boards, dynamic mobility drills, and an extended restorative meditation to invite deep inner balance and nervous system ease.

• Wednesday: Kim offers Serenity Candlelight Yoga — a soft, glowing mid-week practice to gently settle your system.

• Thursday & Friday: No classes as we pause for the Thanksgiving holiday. 🦃

• Saturday: Open until 1pm for Small Business Saturday — explore mindful retail, thoughtful gifts, and wellness memberships for the season.

• Sunday at 11am: Tea Ceremony — a slow ritual of presence, grounding, and quiet return. It’s the perfect way to support yourself this holiday weekend.

Wishing you a week of honest listening and inner steadiness. Let your “no” be a compass.

If you know Belgian Malinois, you know their nervous systems are tuned like a violin — alert, responsive, noticing everything. Eevee is no exception, which is why she takes her reset tools very seriously.

Her pick of the week? The Dammit Doll. For the moments when your inner world feels like a Malinois on patrol — hyperaware, overstimulated, or sensing all the things — this little doll offers a safe, playful reset. Soft enough for a grounding squeeze, tough enough for a cathartic thwack, and silly enough to spark a laugh (because humor is nervous-system medicine).

And of course, the iconic poem:

“Whenever things don’t go so well,
and you want to hit the wall and yell,
here’s a little Dammit Doll,
that you can’t do without.
Just grasp it firmly by the legs
and find a place to slam it.
And as you whack the stuffing out,
yell ‘Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!’”

A sympathetic nervous-system release with humor, softness, and zero judgment.
Malinois-tested. Human-approved.

Pick one up in the DustOff retail nook. Eevee might even supervise your selection. 🐾

Candlelight Tea Ceremony — This Friday at 5:30pm. An evening invitation into quiet alchemy.

As the river sings just outside the windows of our studio sanctuary, we enter a sacred space where silence and steam weave their quiet magic. We invite you to join this tradition and create your own moment of calm.

Tea ceremony offers a gentle refuge — a tender space to return to stillness and rest in the soft center of your being. It is an invitation to step out of the rush, slow your breath, and be held by the medicine of tea. Through Cha Dao, we create alchemy with the elements that harmonize our being. The practice of tea greets us exactly where we are. Rooted in “the Way of Tea,” this ceremony is a weaving of fire, water, earth, and spaciousness. In noble silence, we settle into a shared field of breath and awareness, attuning to the subtle rhythms within and around us.

With each bowl, we are invited to listen more deeply —
to the warmth in our hands,
to the stillness beneath our thoughts,
to the quiet song of nature moving through us.

The ceremony encourages gentle mindfulness and soft self-awareness as we sit with the tea in silence, allowing the mind to quiet and the heart to open. It is a process of self-discovery, where tea becomes both teacher and mirror — helping us reconnect with forgotten parts of ourselves, ease old tensions, and deepen our understanding of who we are at our core. Your guide, Elen Rose, brings a presence shaped by years of devotion to Cha Dao and the subtle teachings of wild tea. With grounded warmth and spaciousness, she offers the container — not to instruct, but to hold space for your personal unfolding.

Accessible pricing is available for those in need. Unlimited studio members receive $5 off please DM for code.

This week, we open our doors to something quietly beautiful.

On Friday evening at 5:30pm, the studio will glow with candles, salt lamps, and the soft flicker of the fireplace as we welcome our first Candlelight Tea Ceremony — a traditional Cha Dao practice (the Way of Tea) offered in gentle, spacious silence.

Tea Ceremony invites us to slow down, soften our edges, and let the rhythm of warm tea and shared presence guide us inward. Bowls are poured with intention, silence becomes a teacher, and the evening unfolds one sip at a time.

We are also honored to welcome Elen Rose to the DustOff teaching family. Elen’s work with Tea Ceremony is rooted in reverence, stillness, and the ancient lineage of Cha Dao. Her presence is warm, steady, and deeply attuned — a beautiful match for the nervous-system–centered ethos of our studio. This marks the beginning of her rotating candlelight Friday evenings and quiet Sunday morning ceremonies. We offer accessible pricing for all ceremonies, and unlimited members receive $5 off every Tea Ceremony they attend.

If you’ve been craving a softer way to end the week… this is it.

Would you like to join us? Reserve your spot as space is intentionally limited to 8 for this intimate gathering.

STARTING TODAY!! Quiet CommUNITY Hours begin today | Wednesdays 11–1 p.m.

When the week feels long and the cold presses in, step into the studio’s warmth—soft light from salt lamps, the calm of green leaves, and the steady song of the Ammonoosuc flowing just beyond the windows.

Join us each Wednesday for FREE Quiet CommUNITY Hours, a gentle invitation to pause midweek and come home to yourself. Rest, write, stretch, or simply breathe among others who value slowing down. No instruction. No expectation. Just space, warmth, and choice. You’re welcome to enhance your visit with a 30-minute Midday Reset in The River Room’s heated zero-gravity chairs, or linger in our retail nook to explore nature-rooted gifts and grounding tools.

At the core of being human is a deep need for connection, for belonging, for acceptance. During these uncertain times we encourage you to find time to spend time in spaces where you feel connected and supported. In a time that is filled with unpredictability we invite you to explore the studio sanctuary for supportive movement, meditation, and mindfulness practices and The River Room for deep rest and neuro regulation sessions. Check out our schedule if this resonates with you.

📣Sometimes what we need most isn’t instruction—it’s space. Beginning this week, we open the studio each Wednesday from 11–1 p.m. for FREE Quiet Community Hours—an open invitation to rest, move gently, or simply be. We ask that you enter the sanctuary quietly~a guide will orient you to the room, an open mat, meditation chairs and bolsters, mats and props are free to use. You’re welcome to arrive anytime and stay as long as you need. This is time for rest and reflection and not a social gathering, please no conversations.

Our guide will be available for check in oversight and the retail area will also be available for quiet browsing, guidance and purchase of studio memberships and class passes or River Room sessions. Please note as this is Open Community Hours that the door will remain open throughout the offering hours.

We have some incredible new offerings on the horizon to help support you through the holiday season… be sure to keep a watch for what’s coming!!!

Our Fall Community Project has come to a close — and what a season of kindness it’s been!!! 🧦 936 pairs of socks!! Countless hearts behind them.

This week, they’ll be distributed across Coös and Grafton Counties—to homeless shelters, outreach programs, and Head Start of Grafton County—bringing a little warmth to our neighbors this season.

A heartfelt thank-you to our DustOff yogis and the businesses they inspired to join this effort: Littleton Coin Company, Evergreen Sports Center, Elks Lodge, and Northern Human Services. Each connection began right here in our studio—and together, you helped turn compassion into action. A reminder for us all that even in challenging times, warmth grows where kindness is shared.

Saying ‘no’ to something that drains you is a ‘yes’ to your own well-being.

This time of year can be especially difficult as we move towards holiday preparations and festivities. It’s a time filled with pressure, expectation, and a pace that asks more than most of us have to give. This “NO”vember, give yourself permission to step back from what doesn’t align with your energy (and if that feels difficult, let this note be your permission slip).

No to what drains your energy.
No to what asks more than you have to give.
No guilt for the limits you set.
No apologies for protecting your peace.

As the season unfolds, may you move through it gently, honoring your boundaries, and choosing what truly supports your well-being.

When the clocks turn back, maybe we can, too. Toward rest. Toward stillness. Toward the spaces that make it easier to slow down—like The River Room.

As the light softens and the season shifts, everything in nature begins to quiet. We’re meant to, too. It’s not about losing time—it’s about remembering how to move with it.
This season, slower rhythms aren’t a compromise—they’re a return. Beginning this Sunday, The River Room opens into a full day of restorative offerings designed to help you follow that rhythm—gently, fully, in your own way.

Go slowly. Go quietly.
Let this season ~ and The River Room show you how.
