The Southwest Perinatal Center is a prenatal diagnostic facility established to provide consultation for patients with maternal or fetal complications. The Center features state-of-the-art equipment capable of providing 3-D and 4-D imagery. Our staff provides personalized attention in a patient-friendly setting. Our highly skilled specialists offer comprehensive obstetrical ultrasound examinations
, consultations in prenatal diagnosis and genetics, and procedures such as Amniocentesis and Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS). A woman with a high-risk pregnancy needs timely care and careful attention to her concerns. Her obstetric provider needs easy access and efficient communication with a perinatal or genetic consultant. We appreciate the extreme importance of these needs and strive to fulfill them. Shane Reeves, MD, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado, is a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist with an interest in ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis. He completed his residency at Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and for his fellowship he trained at the University of Vermont. Dr. Reeves is skilled with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. In addition to his specialty in ultrasound, Dr. Reeves is interested in environmental exposures in pregnancy and maternal exercise physiology.
