South Denver Cardiology Associates

South Denver Cardiology Associates 30 of the Region's Leading Cardiologists providing award-winning cardiovascular care.

This exceptional medical group, which was launched in 1973, consists of 27 of the Rocky Mountain region’s finest cardiologists, with over 600 years of combined experience caring for Denver’s heart patients. All physicians are university-trained and board-certified in cardiology and are board-certified in their specialty fields. Many of the physicians were among the first in the area to perform such diagnostic and life-saving procedures as cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, coronary stenting, non-invasive CT angiography, coronary artery calcium scoring, implantation of cardiac defibrillators, and electrophysiological ablations. Our strong emphasis on prevention and early disease detection has put us at the forefront of wellness education for the community at large. This commitment to enhancing the delivery of cardiac care to our community is what puts SDCA a step ahead of others in patient care and preventative medicine.

For individuals suffering from chronic tendinosis, the path to recovery has historically been challenging, often leading to surgical interventions when conservative treatments fail.

Dr. Brad Bellard at CommonSpirit's The Sports Center highlights the transformative impact of Tenex soft-tissue treatment, a minimally invasive procedure that uses ultrasound guidance to precisely remove diseased tendon tissue or calcific deposits while preserving healthy surrounding tissue.

Dr. Bellard clarifies the difference between tendinitis and tendinosis and explains when Tenex treatment is recommended. https://ow.ly/TwxP50Xay68

Ten years ago, Jackson Davis' life changed in an instant. On his way back from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, a reckless driver caused an accident that brought him to CommonSpirit Health Penrose Hospital's ICU, breaking both his legs and almost losing one.

Despite the immense physical and emotional trauma and the voices that told him you can't, Jackson chose to respond with unwavering determination: "Okay, watch me." This philosophy guided him not only to relearn how to walk but also to compete in and complete challenging Spartan races.

Jackson's message to those facing a similar journey is to never lose hope.
