We’re excited to celebrate the opening of Grey Hawk Park - a brand-new neighborhood park designed to bring the Colorado Springs community together.
Designed by Architerra in collaboration with the City of Colorado Springs, Grey Hawk Park balances active recreation with environmental stewardship. A large portion of the site was intentionally preserved as natural open space, protecting habitat frequently used by wildlife and maintaining the character of the landscape that makes this neighborhood special.
The park offers a variety of amenities for all ages, including a half-court basketball court, a nature-themed playground, a bluegrass field for informal play, shaded gathering areas, and winding nature paths. Park features were carefully sited to take full advantage of the site’s incredible mountain views, creating spaces to play, pause, and connect with the surrounding landscape.
We were proud to join the community for the ribbon-cutting on December 10 and to celebrate a park designed with safety, accessibility, and long-term enjoyment in mind - including collaboration with the City’s most thorough and tough-to-please playground “inspectors”.
Thank you to our project partners Merrick & Company and Ackerman Engineering, Inc. for their collaboration and expertise in bringing this park to life, and to the City of Colorado Springs for their commitment to creating high-quality public spaces.
Grey Hawk Park is more than a neighborhood park — it’s a place to gather, explore, play, and celebrate community.
