We’re thrilled to welcome lots of amazing new staff to our building this year! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing each of them so our community can get to know them better.

First up: meet Mr. Kenney in Room 120! Originally from Painted Post, New York, he’s been calling Colorado home since 2009. With 16 years of teaching experience across special education, general education, and outdoor education, he’s passionate about helping students grow and thrive in all kinds of learning environments.

When he’s not teaching, you’ll find him enjoying music, exploring the mountains, or adventuring on motorcycles, mountain bikes, or snowboards. His go-to midday mood boosters? Veggies with hummus and a cup of mint tea! 🌿🎶🏔️ No shocker on the veggies—this teacher is cool as a cucumber and does such a standup job making his students feel special and heard. Happy to have you here, Mr. Kenney!

Still reliving the magic from our last day of school yesterday! From the epic students vs. staff kickball game and the wild silent disco to pieing our Head of School in the face, it was a day we’ll never forget. Huge thanks to our amazing Student Council for the mustaches, our dedicated HEART parents for the delicious food, for the sweet treats, and for the always-popular (and generously donated!) photo booth. Our Story

Havern School has been educating children with learning disabilities in the Denver area for over 50 years. We accept students from grades K-8. Our integrated curriculum includes intensive instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics as well as speech-language and occupational therapies. Classes in social skills, art, music and drama, and digital technology round out the school week.
